Love it. Most interesting skate shoe in years but I don’t expect anyone here to like it.
I'm really curious to see this.
"Based and developed in France by skateboarders and friends. Village pm’s first release, “1pm” has been developed for skateboarding with function at the forefront of the brands mind (the rubber rand around the silhouette being replaceable once worn out)."
These just look like rock climbing shoes.. or approach shoes or whatever. They’re literally rock climbing shoes - how are they designed with skating in mind? Ain’t no one gonna re-sole their fucking skate shoes
Yeah it's going to be hard to get people re-sole/change rubber rand on the shoes, but I do think that's more of the skaters' fault than the brand that's trying to give you more bang for your buck. And the re-sole program has been working inside climbing communities for years, so I think it could work with skaters as well.
Heard from someone that these are actually quite comfortable on feet. Personally, I'm really looking forward for these to drop next summer. It's fun to try how these will work when skating.
Forgot to post this when the video dropped, but you can see Thaynan skating these shoes at Stalin. Looks like they work for him, they look pretty nice on camera as well.
