i dont know what's going on at Vans - but looking for old design pattern from the late 90s is
the worst they can do.
Bringing back the Knu school, Rowley XLT?  This was the beginning of Vans fall.
Didnt nobody in the managment remember that Vans was absolutely irrelevant in mid/ late 90s?

Just bought the Rowan 2s i feel its the best Vans shoe i have, but i fear its just gonna be drowned after a season out like what happened with Chimas, Walkers and Crocketts Pro Model.This flooding of 90s reissue sure wont help

i bought the decathlon shoes, they didn't have them in store where i live but they have free shipping and i found a lil discount code so they ended up being 38 euros, i said fuck it and ordered away. they don't have half sizes so i wonder how they fit and how's the quality. i think i'm going to make a video about them and put it up on youtube so that people who can't afford proper skate shoes can find it and maybe buy a pair if they're any good. from reading their website it looks like they do some cool stuff around the world and sponsor and employ a bunch of skaters which i can definitely appreciate.

you could buy 4 pairs of the decathlon shoes for the price of a pair ave pro 2.0s or 5 pairs for the price of asics gel flexkees shipped to poland from france. i really hope they'll be good as fuck so skate companies put out price point models that actually perform and don't look like shit. on the other hand this isn't really a shoe that's marketed towards core ass skate rats so i don't know how much impact they could make on the entire skate shoe market but if the shoes are decent then more people might catch on and actually good price point shoes from all your favorite skate shoe companies will eventually come out.

These to me were what Vans was before Rowley saved them by joining.   No skaters wore Vans, but it was like a generic shoe choice for a lot of dorkier guys in junior high (brain too tired to think of a nicer way to put that).   It was like something you got at Tilly’s

If I'm remembering correctly, Vans was helping fund some of his skatepark projects. Vans didn't do a single release for him, which is incredibly unusual for them. No pro models, no color ways. He was with Lakai before Vans, but I think the Hawk brand became just another license. In all fairness, designing and making footwear is a very difficult business and few people can make a serious go of it. It very well could be that he's doing it through HUF or their holding company, who themselves handle Lakai. Wouldn't surprise me.
