Even though it was directed at me I found it pretty funny and laughed out loud when I read it.

it's all jokes man :D

i'm all for affordable and decent quality skate shoes. most skaters that i know can't afford to buy $100 shoes every month and i know that decathlon is able to make good quality stuff. the design is functional and inoffensive, i literally don't see anything wrong with them. it's not even taking away from skaters at this point, what else is there, nike, vans, adidas, nb and recently sold to snowboarders sole tech? and all of those are 2 times more expensive.

If decathlon was my local, and I’d fuck with those. They’re not bad.

The vulcs cost 40€, the cupsoles 45€. Def worth trying

The funny thing is they look like a better version of the LRAB cups, which are 2x the cost.

Idk, Asides from the unnecessary ridiculously uncomfortable looking heel bit, they look sort of like an Emerica Herman only a bit slimmer profile. Kinda love the idea of more shoes coming in vulc and cupsole models. Good price too. I'll probably never buy them though.

They’re not like crushing it style wise, but for a shop shoe under $50 they are acceptable

The shop shoe is rare occurrence and usually the look like the braille shoe, or airspeed

Depending on the exchange rate they aren't much more than the WalMart Etnies and way better looking.

i just wish the sole was like smooth and straight around the shoe, it has this line going down the middle and the heel part is shaped differently, reminds me of the nike p-rod 6 but that’s not a good thing

as for the upper, put a n on the side and it’s an instant slap favorite

Wait…. What??? I mean that’s kinda like bringing back a cupsole halfcab…didn’t they have a toe similar to the enigma? I have a soft spot for the cab 5 that was one of my first shoes I ever bought for myself, the 4 was pretty cool too though

i dont know what's going on at Vans - but looking for old design pattern from the late 90s is
the worst they can do.
Bringing back the Knu school, Rowley XLT?  This was the beginning of Vans fall.
Didnt nobody in the managment remember that Vans was absolutely irrelevant in mid/ late 90s?

There’s 12 colorways of the Kyle Walker shoe and 17 of the Crockett low and high combined on the Vans website right now.

If someone with IG would be so kind.

Yeah, I’m not really the guy to have any sort of reasonable discussion about Vans with. It’s never been my thing, and I’m not particularly knowledgeable about the company. I just simply know what I like.

Cab 4’s hold a special place in my heart as that was my best skate homie’s favorite shoe. He committed suicide some time ago, so I’d love to skate a pair in his honor.

The beginning of Vans fall? Sorry, but no. The Knu-School is one of, if not the best selling Vans shoe this year so far. The first couple color ways of the XLT sold out as well. There are plenty of mistakes that Vans has made in recent years but those shoes were not one of them.

Can't tell if these are low or mid tops but they look cool. When were these shoes out? Maybe they were before my time because I don't remember them.

decathlon isn’t a shop, it’s a huge sporting goods company, it’d be like wearing a dick’s shoe

I thought Decathlon sounded familiar. A vertically integrated global conglomerate releasing a skate shoe that went this long without some pushback should ring serious alarm bells for skateshops.

ive had some of the clothes from this brand as well as a backpack - way before they got into skating. they're a controversial company but as others have pointed out they make a good product quality-wise for a decent price.

i doubt they're gonna take $ away from vans, nike, cons etc.

they managed to revolutionize sports stores in Europe at the beginning of the 90's moving their own production to Asia. You can find almost every sport in a wide range of prices. From dirty cheap to more technical stuff.

I think they also licensed fury trucks and they produce and sell them on their stores...

I dont think skateboarding owes anyone anything monetarily. IMO as long as a kid that doesnt wanna play baseball is learning axle stalls on a curb that skateboarding is alive and well.

I fear that if someone owns the means of production as well as the product and the roof it is sold under that they will own the whole thing. Decathlon products sold in decathlon stores make decathlon skaters. Olympics good for Decathlon? Olympics good for skateboarding! Now the kid on his curb plays video games like every other zombie child cuz he doesnt wanna go to skateboard practice. North american sports have become a business, outpricing parents whos children just want to play. If they can do it to skateboarding too they will
