XLT is so unbelievably uncomfortable underfoot.

Technically yes, but the midsole is part of the shoe with an insole on top of that cushioning. So it’s double layered. Where the Pop Cush insole is just one layer of foam and nothing between it and the bottom of the shoe.

XLT is so unbelievably uncomfortable underfoot.

I’ve had 3 pairs of the XLTs the past few months and I’ve had the complete opposite experience with them. Super comfortable and durable.

I’ve had 3 pairs of the XLTs the past few months and I’ve had the complete opposite experience with them. Super comfortable and durable.

I have the Dime x Rowley XLT’s. I haven’t skated them but I did wear them as chillers on multiple occasions. They didn’t feel uncomfortable to me.

+1 for loving the XLTs. Really comfortable and I'm also enjoying skating something bulkier after wearing exclusively slip-ons (Vans BMX) for the last few years.

Never liked popcush. They leave your ankle precariously high and can hurt to stand sometimes. Definitely into Vans cups with midsoles

The real pro tip is stop reissues. They are not doing anything to actually advance the brand. Put a cupsole on a Half Cab maybe? Put out shoes that aren't as polarizing as the Ave knit? The Rowan 2 might be great, but at my 2 local shops at least it's collecting dust and I've yet to see a pair in the wild. The Zahba seems to be doing better and was a step in the right direction from them, but they haven't really tried to sell it.

Vans isn't a core brand, but they're a skate shoe staple and are somehow putting less effort forward than Sole Tech.

The real pro tip is stop reissues. They are not doing anything to actually advance the brand. Put a cupsole on a Half Cab maybe? Put out shoes that aren't as polarizing as the Ave knit?
