Over the weekend I saw someone at my local park wear what looks like a Vans lo cab with the dragon symbol on the side. Pretty sure the guy was a rep or something. Any word if this shoe is coming out?

Kind of surprised Tyshawn's shoes are getting such mellow colors. I feel like the show can color up just like a Samaba. All have been pretty mellow when I actually think the shoe looks good.

I haven't skated the tyshawn 2 but at retail it has been below underwhelming, I've seen one or two pairs in the wild.
Seems like a huge miss compared to the original.

but the tj1 low shits on the latest model

I honestly think the Tyshawn 1 is really ugly compared to the rest of their lineup. It's a comfortable and nice enough shoe, but damn is it ugly. The later tyshawn is just meh. I don't get why they don't lean into their basketball heritage like nike does and at least take some design cues from better looking shoes.

“Since day 1” seems extremely off the mark. Lots of their early models were a breath of fresh air at the time they came out. The Silas is legendary, the Sucius were weird looking but skated well, and a couple of those 3st’s were solid (whichever the not-slip on ones were).

Give me more crazy ishod style shoes. A pro model shoe should look special and have more features than “a durable suede toe box” and “a grippy outsole”

NB is making solid skate shoes for sure but they just aren’t my cup of tea. The new Louie Lopez is a good compromise. Not crazy unique but distinct enough. I may get a pair.

nobody is really killing it right now. everybody is coming out with stuff that looks and feels the exact same. like every brand now has their own "dunk killer". asics and NB basically have the exact same shoe on offer. everybody needs to take inspiration from basketball, running, and soccer shoes to the point we're left with pretty underwhelming efforts. even Vans' new models generally look like shit, albeit experimental. I don't even think Nike wants to be in skateboarding anymore, it's not even listed on their website and their offerings have become pretty slim.

Foreal we had it good in the 90s and 2000s, skate shoes used to be cool enough I could wear them all the time, now I only wear skate shoes when I skate

I noticed that about Nikes site recently. I hope that’s not the case. They seem to be promoting the crap out of ishod for seemingly random reasons so that’s hopeful.

on the US nike website, skateboarding is no longer in the headline menu dropdown, but as soon as you go into the shoes section, skateboarding is listed pretty close to the top of subsections along the left sidebar.

The pull strap is really out of place. Other than that, not bad looking, probably durable, and it’s cool to see something different.
