I can't be the only one who thinks these look like sh*t, right?

They may have slimmed down the tongue and collar a bit and made subtle tweaks to the pattern - but the stance still looks like a cheap puffy turd because they didn't fix the tooling. Another miss by eS. I guess we'll have to wait another 30 years before they redevelop and reissue them again as the 'Accel 95'- if eS even survives another 30 years.

That's just a total fuckup by whoever named the shoe the Accel OG in 2005 and there is just no easy fix there.

You can't rename the puffy "Accel OG" to the Accel and then call the real OG the "accel OG" because that will just destroy your sales on the 2005 shoe which clearly still sells...so what do you do?
Everyone is confused by the poor naming.

It seems like the only way out currently is to release the "Accel" and then over a few years, phase out the OG version.

Just to be open - and as a good few of you know on here already - I work there. Bear in mind this shoe was in development and already selling in before the new partners jumped in with Pierre...it has been 'interesting' as a project to work on. Making sense of and turning around some of what is hidden in the closets melts my mind, often.

I've not noticed that in the past few years but I've definitely thrown out the view that hiding away the fact that they've been made puffier 20 years ago and aren't the prime version isn't a great move. It just confuses people.
