If you asked me a couple years ago I probably would've told you that I was a Vans lifer but even I've been buying other shoes.

It’s weird it works with the old skool but is utterly atrocious in the other two. Just give it the plain white waffle cup on the crocketts and be done with it vans.

As far as wafflecup soles go. I skated the skate hi bmx with that sole and they were one of my favorite shoes ever. Skated the old schools and they were the worst pieces of crap you could imagine. Flopped out in two sessions, balding soles a week in, crappy fit, you name it.

Never had the bmx sk8 hi but if you’re talking about the bmx old skools, if I’m not mistaken, the BMX waffle cup is a softer rubber and designed to perform better with BMX pedals and biking stuff. Cause I agree, though the BMX old schools did not skate well for me, but I’m excited to try these with the same waffle cup that is on the Gilbert Crockett cause those are my favorite shoes at the moment.

BMX Wafflecup Vans are cupsole? Or suppose to skate like a cupsole?

I prefer Vulc, but it’s hard to find a shoe wide enough for me. I’ve been a Vans guy for a long time now. I’m asking this question because if need be, I’m ready to get used start skating cupsoles, and I feel Vans probably have the next board feel. I also heard the BMX Wafflecup versions is wider than the Vulc versions.

Wafflecup is constructed similar to a cupsole under your heel, but a vulc under the front of your foot. Same insole (thick purple popcush) as the Skate vulcs. The idea is the 'support of a cup, with the boardfeel of a vulc,' but they really just feel and skate like vulcs in my experience. Couldn't tell you if that's true about how the BMX ones fit.
