man, things have really been dry lately huh
Is this a recession indicator?
I would think the tariffs have them rethinking some things, with almost all skate shoes being manufactured overseas. Everything immediately became more expensive to make, so the brands will probably be slower to introduce new products, cut down on how much stuff they make overall, and be less likely to put things out that are risky from a sales perspective (bold colourways, trend-bucking new models, etc.). It might also be harder or more expensive to buy the materials that go into the shoes now, so we may see them changing how they make the shoes - lower quality materials, cheaper production methods, discontinuing products that are expensive to make, etc.
