Slanted logos are supposed to encode the feeling of speed or motion. Similar to why the Audi sport, AMG and bmw m logos are slanted rectangles

A quick IG search shows a marketing agency based in the Middle East and so they might both be allowed because they’re not seen as competitors in the same space.

It might happen for other brands though. And I’m not saying it’s a good idea. Just that’s the thinking behind it.

I really like the white with green piping. And I like a lace hook system. I would get the black on black except for the yellow piping. Too specific. I would just want an all black shoe. The black and white ones aren’t my style but Vans made that same color way and people bought those. Since the founder has experience with Converse you can bet the material selection and construction will be on point. I’m rooting for any skater owned brand.

This is great to see. I skated with Richard when I visited Boston. He rips and is a good guy. I wish him the best. I remember his friends telling me he designed Louie’s Cons shoe, I thought they were trying to bullshit me haha.

For me they feel more wide than the normal skate era, not super wide though. Intersting the blue/light blue is vented on both sides and the black colorway is vented on one side only. They're the best Vans I've had on my feet in a long time, which isn't the highest praise but I like them lots.

I am looking for some new chill shoes and ordered the black ones. The look nicely padded. I am curious how they will fit. My last pair of Vans were some Half Cringe Pros. I loved those shoes but got rid of them.

it just seems like such a massive undertaking to be on the verge of collapse in multiple areas of society right now and dudes just whipping out shoe companies trying to cater to the uber specific tastes of skateboarders like its the early 2000s

You can definitely see the paneling options a little better...

DC has by far one of the most interesting shoe archives of any skate brand and so much potential yet they still keep pulling from the same references (Lynx & kalis) and making nothing that really stands out. Such a shame.

I had the fallen iteration of those in like… 8th grade or something. They were okay I guess. Not the worst shoe to get redone.

That Shanahan 2 looks better in black and white - like every shoe. That camo colorway reminds me of the same color as the gunk I’m coughing up while quitting smoking.
