Adidas Glenburns on Silas' feet. Look at this and the Silas 1, it's just a low quality version of it basically, So no need to reissue an actual good shoe, the Silas 1. Thanks Adidas.

The Silas SLR is the model above. People were scared of this shoe just like the New Balance 770s, but were even less adventurous with shoe design back then, so nobody skated it. Ankles were probably saved.

Silas has always been on cigs. Just cuz you're on Habitat and a self-proclaimed hippie doesn't mean you can't chuck smags. A lot of people still smoke. I used to see Fellers at Courthouse roasting marlboro lights alone all the time. The only legit health nut is Neen and he just gets clowned on for it.

I like it. At least it's something. I like that it's cupsole too, but the cupsole looks uninspiring.

Agreed 100% on the not committing to the rebrand. I expected them to put on more Rassvet and artsy dudes and then really revamp the core line-up, but aside from Austyn's shoes, it's been the same old models.

Both of these are good points.

It's probably hard to go full into a rebrand / relaunch, but IMO, going into it half-heartedly was more deflating than if they had fully embraced it. Seeing only Austyn's Chelsea boot colorway and his pro models being the only things that felt different made it seem like they lacked confidence to back up their big talk. Granted, I only wear cupsoles so I wouldn't have bought anything they put outr anyway because I don't like their one cupsole model, but still.

I think they reverted course after noticing the sales of those old globe shoes increase due to y2k nostalgia. I see kids, 'cool' kids for that matter, wearing that shit. So it was probably wise to continue producing those.
