If you think about it, Shane and Malto have to thank Dyrdek and street league for this big time moves. Doubt it that without the wins, both companies would've make the moves.
stop posting, forever.
I'm going to the one in Ontario. I got invented or else I wouldn't go.

I have no way to prove it but I was informed that Shane did leave for dc and Malto will be on nike in january.

I can't see malto on nike without them loosing some heads - the team is way too stacked.  Someone like dan murphy is gone.

absolutely, NIKE will have to free up some money!!!!!!!
the team is way too stacked- yea, it would be a bad thing to add another dude like Malto. Terrible.

Skate salaries and marketing budgets at NIKE are comparable to finding 10 bucks in your pants after you do the laundry. Spare change.

True. Drop one basketball jock making 9 million or whatever, then, buy half of skateboarding.  Nike doesn't sweat it.

Ok , maybe no thank him, but the STreet League  exposure has to do with it...Especially since there are going to be 6 dates now in 2011

If he leaves he'll be the only guy on Skate Mental with a different shoe sponsor.

that's the reason they continue to exist i think.....even though alot of skaters say they hate them and whatevs, who wouldn't want to watch those guys do "BIG" tricks in person.  They dont suck some of their video parts aren't great but ultimately you can go and see 10 guys go and get tech on smaller stuff then kickflip lipslide a huge rail. every try for seven tries or whatever the format be.

It's ok to hate the idea but seriously it does not count until you are there, it really is a different experience..

and Colin pretty much confirmed that plan b and dc are his new sponsors, he kept talking about (denying it) it on skatetalk.

These changes don't seem like they would fit. I can't see Malto on Nike. it'd be sick but i doubt it'll happen. As for O'Neil on DC that just sounds like a horrible idea for him. where's the actual proof for any of this?

this is true and will be confirmed after jan. 1st  they offered him close to 2 million for 3 or 4 years and a few pro modles which nike wasnt gonna match...so he left.  chris cole has a similar deal but with more money

Nice, Good for Shane, But damn Chris Cole more than 2 or so million for him? That's some major type sports deal right there.

Not really.  2 mill over 3 of 4 years, that's like the lowest paid NHL player.

I could see him skating these. They actually skate pretty well besides thin/shitty insoles.

It'll be weird not seeing that dude skate in Janoskis though.

couple mil and some pro models, anyone would take it.  and he kinda fits on plan b (guys who can do everything+ on command team)

also just to keep things in perspective nike gave lebron like 90 mil before he played his first minute of pro ball.

My guess would be, if this is true, that one of his pro models will be similar to the janoski...

FOUND THIS ON THE SKATE MENTAL SITE. I GUESS WE'LL BE SEEING HIM STAY ON THE MENTAL. I WONDER IF HE'LL BE OFF 4-STAR?
12/14 nike does not own skate mental

We get a handful of emails weekly asking us if Nike owns Skate Mental. Nike does not own Skate Mental. I?m pretty sure if Nike owned us we would eating much finer food and would be driving Stretched Hummers with Titties surrounding us. Those boxes at the baseball game that have food and those good views. Wiping our asses with hundred dollar bills. You get the picture.

that may not be adding much to the oneill-dc-rumours, but seeing jack curtin (FINALLY) on fallen, maybe even with a pro shoe, may be a hint that a heavy hitter with a (incredibly ugly) pro-shoe may have left the fallen building. even though i cannot say how crappy it would be if cole would sell out that damn much.

When I first heard the Chris Cole DC rumor I thought it was so farfetched. But then recently he got on Monster and now on skatetalk they said he is officially on Matador beef jerky. This rumor seems increasingly more likely.
