what shoes are those? arto mids, maybe? he always seems to be wearing all black kicks, but they never look as slim as the filters or dylans

Yes! my favorite skateboarder returns. It's so nice to see this guy shredding NYC again. He should lure Brengar out of retirement and film a new part

That's an awesome tech trick that nobody does. Would way rather see this than the usual, standard trick + big flip out.

God damn, didnt realize it was switch when i saw it in the mag. This guy is my favorite skater hands down.  I would LOVE for gravis and him to make "Jake, a short film by gravis footwear". Turn this dude pro already, should have happened after mindfield came out, when was that 08?

Dude has one of the best styles ever. It's unreal. Handsomest dude of the past few years by far. Also, the ground on the runway for that ledge sucks horrendously. That trick is absurd. So good.
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.

I'm pretty sure they are Vikings/Viking His. I remember in an interview a while back he mentioned that his feet were wrecked, so he mainly has to skate in cupsoles. Ironically, Gravis doesn't have any cupsoles for general release right now, so he must have stockpiled all his pairs of Vikings. I also remember reading that Gravis was going to work with Jake on designing a small line of cupsole shoes (not pro models though), but I think that was before he destroyed his leg. I hope that's still in the works though. I would skate the shit out of a good cupsole Gravis shoe designed with Jake Johnson.

Me, too. I hate when people skate too much, so they start looking comfortable in both stances.
