After mulling over a ton of shoes, I've decided to stick to Lakai. Their quality is superb and they're skater owned. I bought the Carlos, the look and feel nice. They were also $50 for 2 pairs and I am jew with shoes, so hopefully they skate well.

I just bought the manchester lean, looks and feels good. Skated them for about a hour today. These are most likely the grippiest shoes I have ever skated. I'd get some more Lakai's after these, I like the fact its skater owned

I like the look of the Carlo. I've actually had my eye on those as a possible next shoe.

One thing I've noticed about Lakai's Spring '14 catalog is that they seem to be toning the logos down across the lineup. Their skate shoes are moving towards a more subtle and stylish aesthetic while not sacrificing any functionality. Honestly, when I am choosing a skate shoe I like something that is functional but something that doesn't *look* like a traditional skate shoe. Lakai crushes it in that way.

I've had the pre-XLK sole Telfords and they lasted me for a long time. The Manchester XLK is by far one of my favorite shoes of all time. Lasted me several months.

Do the Carlo's stretch or are they one of those shoes that are only for people with narrower feet. My feet are average width and my heels seem to slip on and off with every step. Then again I just got them, so...

Some question about the XLK sizing, is it the same as Lakai Vulcs?
I had the Marc, and I'm a fan, however I can only skate mids or high shoes, and the Lakai catalog lacks of choice for Mid models.
Really tempted by the Howard mid boot, but it's hard to find them around me. I have no idea about the sizing on XLK shoes and would love some feedback.

Has anyone tried the Telford XLK or the Telford Echelon? Really tempted to try those, but would like some feedback about sizing and stuff.

Howard XLK are true to size. The Howard desert boot is killing the shoe game. Really one of the best (im thru my third).

They fit true to size, snug but not in a bad way.


Pretty stoked on these, the color in the photo is a little off. They are more olive then they appear here.
Something about the gum XLK sole is perfection.

Are the pico xlk thinner than the guy xlk?

And I always get the same size for almost every brand.

I ordered a pair of the Belmont XLKs from 6pm as a Christmas present to myself. They're my first Lakais and I've wanted a pair after seeing MJ wear them in Pretty Sweet so I'm excited.

Made In China - Did you get the canvas or all suede Belmont? Either way I think you'll dig them. The toe box on the Belmont is a little bit wider than the other models.

I try A LOT of different shoes in a year's time, I have a lot of love for certain shoe brands, but this year no other shoe manu has come close to the Lakai XLK sole. And I mean NO company. Suede but it has a side that's some weird material that's not suede but not canvas either. I think it might be chambray?

Anyone know how I can contact Lakai about my Guy XLK's sole detaching. I've had a 2 pairs before and this had never happened before, so I think it was likely a defect.
