The video was really good even with the 9 month time frame.

Not everyone has full parts but thats ok. The shake junt video just came out.

Perfect hijinx to footage ratio

Extras were all awesome

I dont know why i thought the cat in the neck brace was hilarious but it was.

Ping pong game was hype.

Everyone managed to pull through with some footy.

Theotis' landings are so much better now.

Braydon with the tech shit. Totally took me by surprise.

Some of the music took me by surprise but in a good way.

Herman is on some appleyard shit with that steeze.

Tk's song took me by surprise and his part was refreshingly solid

Lots of killer LINES in the video and in the extras.

Was hoping nuge and baca would have a full doubles part. Sall good. Baca with the surprise trick.

Riley is a lot better than i gave him credit for but his addition is still kinda weird to me.

Shane heyl's song fits him completely

Dee skates like a mini nuge.

Cyril gettin some. The song gave his part that nick trapasso vibe.

Was not expecting a mini deathwish section or all those guest tricks. Totally dug it.

Reynolds was obviously awesome.

Fruits.

Figgy killed it. Dude knows how to grind rails.

The video caught me off guard. Shit load of surprises.

The wilshire dedication was both hilarious and touching

Great soundtrack.

Video was hype. Way more rewatchable than most of the stuff that came out this year.

I liked Riley Hawk's part, Reynold's Footy, Herman, Cyril Jackson, and Figgy.

Not to be a hater, but Theotis seems to do the same tricks over and over. Shane Heyl looked promising from that first front noseslide, but then every trick was a noseslide or crook variation.

Overall a really good watch! Reynolds putting out quality instead of quantity (as always one might add). Riley with a killer part! Baca and Nuge were awesome. TK suprised me with that ledge nbd. From the short parts I think I liked Lenoce and Braydon the most. CJ has one legit back 3.

Figgy obviously killed it. However, as good as that part was I feel like he had more fillers in there (for his very own standards of course) than David. I hate to compare the two, but let's face it, it is all about that SOTY crap. That's why they put out their videos at the end of the year in the first place. I feel like David just annihilated anything in his path whereas Figgy lacked something of that. For me, David as SOTY is a no brainer. Only Guy could take it from him...

Regarding the 'david vs figgy SOTY' debate; I liked Figgy's part better. And I'm not a Bakerboys fan at all.

And didn't Reynolds say in that free lunch vid that everything was filmed in 9 months? Don't know for how long David was stacking footy for his part, but 9 months on a part like that is just amazing. Also, Figgy had a part (shared, but still) in the Shake Junt Video, and has been ripping in various thrasher clips throughout the year.

The way I see it, it's a quantity vs quality type deal. David's tricks were clearly bigger and seemed to "push the limits" of how far one can go on the skateboard. Figgy had a lot of solid and amazing tricks. I think they both deserve it equally.

Finally had a chance to watch this. Thank you hurricane Sandy. Very entertaining. Fun, with some serious parts from the new additions and Figgy while he's on fire, topped with a half hour of delicious b roll footage. An excellent addition to the baker catalogue.

As far as I know, David's part was filmed exclusively in 2012 as well. If I remember correctly, he was recovering from some gnarly ankle injury for the better part of 2011.

Just watched the video again and I gotta say, Riley Hawk's part is the fucking truth. He rips anything: rails, stairs, gaps, ledges (heelflip noseblunt!) and I'd almost go as far as saying he's the best guy at street transitions out there at the moment. Figgy's part's also pretty rad but I think I'll watch Riley's part way more often in the future.

Figgys part was insane and all of you pussies need to learn to respect the things you dont have (balls). Figgys part was definitely better than David Gonzalez's part and though I really liked David Gonzalez's part it really cant be compared to figgys. Figgy put out a 6 minute video of straight bangers and hardly any slow mo while Davids part was 4:30 and was filled with slowmo, second angles, and mini ramp footage. Not hating on David because he seriously put out one of the gnarliest skate video part of all time but figgy straight killed it. And seriously Figgy did do really creative handrail skating that I havent seen before. Its funny how when Guy Mariano does some cool new ledge dancing tricks everybody acts like he's some creative mastermind while guys like figgy do crazy shit and put their lives on the line and people aren't sure that hes on the same level of other SOTYs. Luckily the SOTY decision isnt for any of you to decide and Figgys probably going to get what he deserves.
