Seriously. Can’t stand both of these teams. Living in San Francisco at the time when they started winning those rings. Their fan base so phony. With any sport, I can respect if you’re from a particular city , root for that city. Majority of Warriors fans are from somewhere else, not even basketball fans & just hopped on the wagon. Really wanted the Heat to be in the finals. Gotta blame someone, so I’m blaming Tyler Herro. Hope he takes this very seriously. Weight train, condition, rehab, work with a trainer non stop, whatever needs to be done to make your young body better. Your team needs you

Edit: pains me to say this… hope the warriors win

what's the hate on the C's then? Definitely not a bandwagon team. People from outside new England have either been indifferent to the mediocre teams or vehemently hated the good ones my entire life, everywhere I've lived. Explain the hate, please.

Their super team era not a fan which is a lame argument because it’s the super team era now. Mainly, I’m from the west coast so east coast teams all sports especially Boston & New York always been suspect. I respect Brad Stevens though. Nice to see a young individual have this level of success when many doubted him

edit: I agree with you that the Celtics has a real legit fan base

I was living in Boston when they got Garnett and Allen after years of mediocrity.  Bandwagon fans exist and they try and use “my dad and I used to watch Larry Bird” as a way to deflect that criticism.

Name one 90s Celtic player who isn’t Paul Pierce is the good gatekeeper question.

To my eye, an obvious visible difference between game 1 and game 2 was the quality minutes for Big Mitten the Yung Glove. Other than Horford and White not shooting like Ray Allen, obviously.

I thought Game 1 looked kinda flukey so I bet Dubs to win the series after game one +160, but who knows. The Celtics have been the kings of looking hapless one game, only to come out the next like mf juggernauts

Klay might wake up at some point

Lol I got the same bet, it’s back to even odds pretty much so looking smart now. I def think the Warriors need to win one of the next few games in Boston tho which may be tough, but I also don’t see Boston hitting 3s like they did in game 1 two times in a row…

still seems like boston wants it more, D was on point tonight. plus the warriors not really trying hard again(?), but then also kinda running out of gas in the 4th(?). like they were surprised their 3rd quarter scoring explosion didn't win them the game

tough series! dubs better win game 4 or it could be a wrap

I think some of my favorite finals are the ones where the warriors lost.

Cavs in 16
Toronto in 19

There's just something sweet about seeing steph, klay and dray collapse that hits different

I said that too when the Mavs beat the Heat when Lebron made their super team. I mean I get it. Everyone has a point of view from a different fan perspective. For Warrior fans, the one in 2015 was insane cause we have been in a shitty losing season for years and years. Every other NBA win has been icing on the cake. Even this series if they lose, it is totally fine. Just the idea of them bouncing back after only 3 years is a win in itself and it will continue even into next season.

Anyways, next game is huge for the Warriors as we need a W in Boston.

I’m not one to make excuses on refs but c’mon. That game was 5 vs 8.

I’d be hyped if Smart was on my team for how hard he plays on defensive (minus the hero ball moments) but his flopping is awful.

When I was a little kid my mother and I saw Kevin McHale lumbering through Logan airport and I ran away because he looked so much like Frankenstein's monster.

That's fucking epic. Hahaha the Celtics, not so much now, but in the past, have had incredibly unhealthy looking/not fit star players... Bird, McHale, Pierce, Walker...

Add Robert Parrish to that list. Looked like a cadaver some games.

Why does the celts coach have a mask tucked under his chin at all times?
