This series has been interesting as fuck to watch; both teams playing at an extremely high level. The fuck happened to Parker and Ginobili last game though? Like dude on grantland said, Parker has to play on a transcendent superstar level for the Spurs to win...now they have to beat Miami 2 out of 3 with 2 of the games in Miami, i dunno man...

parker has a hamstring injury?

This Tony Parker injury is really gonna fuck the Spurs down the stretch I think even though it's supposed to be "not that serious". You could see how taking him out of the game early completely screwed up their offensive rhythm yesterday, and with the way Manu's playing they really have almost no ball-handling or consistent scoring threat to come off the bench and fill in Parker's minutes.

If two out of the Lebron, Wade and Bosh triumvirate can perform at a reasonably high level for the rest of the series I don't really think the spurs have a chance. Miami just have more firepower and more good offensive lineups to work with when the Spurs are only able to play their stars for like 30 mins each per game.

My honest opinion is that the spurs are fucked. The passing is the root of their problem and maybe two games arent enough to fix it. Tony parker and manu dont have to play amazing games, if they can play average that would probably be enough, the real problem is how the spurs would rather make bad passes than try shooting. Thryre always running out of time on the shotclock and end up getting forced shots that are bad, or theyve inadvertnently funneled the ball to a bad area and get trapped.  I dont know what it is, be it floor pressure or just the bright lights of the finals but theyre just not making it happen. 20 point conversion off of 19 turnovers with 9 or 10 being unforced? Am i wrong? Please tell me. Their passing is their strength but also an exploitable weakness.

The spurs have to win game 6 I think. If it goes to seven I dont see the heat losing at home. I hope I'm wrong but I expect the heat to win by 20 in game 6.

And where has lebron been? Kawhi leonard is playing great defense but still...

Well to be honest they (especially manu) were making a lot more shot attempts instead of trying to pass their way out of situations and the heat werent as hard on the spurs as they were the game before.

This series has been so back and forth everything I've said in this thread about each team's chances has been basically proven wrong by the time the next game is played. The Spurs obviously had an incredible offensive performance tonight (despite lots of turnovers) and I think a lot of that was down to Manu and Pop's use of him. Still, Miami put up 104, with Wade continuing to look good and Bosh actually playing like a half decent NBA center for stretches. I think this one is going to game 7.

Is anyone else psyched to see Ray Allen playing so well after his terrible playoffs last year? That stroke is looking as good as ever, no Hibbert.

Solid game last night, Heat getting back to within 1 point and then SA just put it on em again, that shit has to be frustrating.  Great game...I expect it to go to 7, but would love the SPurs to close it out tomorrow night.  They are the best team in NBA history to close out a series in a game 6 on the road (14-2).  Miami will play with the intensity of not wanting to lose on there home court and take it to a game 7 but SA knows  this road way to well.

It's going to come down to which team doesn't make more mistakes.  If Manu can play like he did in game 5 and SA can get a little bit from everyone else, its gonna be awesome to watch Lebron watch the Spurs celebrate there championship on Miami's floor
Anyone else notice that Tony Parker is the Gino of basketball?

Im also gonna go out on a limb and say spurs still had 19 turnovers with a 20 point conversion again, not all of those were on passes but it still kinda sucks especially if next game the heat get more physical with the spurs and slow down once they get the ball to get a higher conversion on the turnovers instead of trying to get sloppy fastbreak points. Theres also a good chance theyll start ray allen next game and try using him to set the tempo with layups instead of 3-pointers. i want the spurs to win but theres still 2 games and anything could happen. Definitely the best finals in a couple years.  Imagine if it was grizzles vs. pacers...

Manu and Danny Green killed it in game 5.

i've seen some amazing shooting in my life, but Danny Green is totally on another level right now.

glad he broke Ray Allen's record, but it looks like Jesus Shuttlesworth wasn't too stoked about it.

here's two of my favorite King James highlights from last night.

Spurs are 1 damn win away. can't wait to see them wrap this thing up in South Beach.

Tim Duncan on 30 points with four minutes left in the third quarter. If he goes for 40 does he get finals MVP?

Also, I laugh when I think of what kind of NBA conspiracy theories are going to be invented to explain all the fouls being called on Miami   in this elimination game?

Fuck the heat. I cannot stand a single player on that roster. The no call on ginobli and green at the end is a joke. Fuck birdman, chalmers annoying ass face, lebron's balding head and dwyayne wade for being a dirty player. God i hope they get killed in game 7

Kahwi Leonard was great in the fourth quarter despite that missed free-throw. It's frustrating though because they did have so many opportunities to put this one away but ended up giving the Heat enough rope to drag themselves back in to the game. If any of those missed free throws had gone down, or any of those last couple of defensive rebounds had gone the Spurs' way this might have been over.

Heat didnt win the game so much as the spurs lost it, big fuckin difference, lebron kept blowing it when it mattered, if theres anything to be said about his "legacy" is that hes fucking overrated. Kawahi shouldnt beat himself up over that free throw, manu should for some heineous passing. Webber said it best, "better to shoot 2 for 10 than 2 for 5 with - bunch of turnovers."
