Although I don't believe we are crowning a champion tonight, if the dubs win the title tonight do you give lebron the jerry west?
I say yes. No one had been more consistently dominating for their team. Curry has barely begun to ignite, klay hasn't had a klay game, dreymond green is on his best blake griffin (irony?). Iggy? please. It's hard for me to make a case or accept one for anyone else.
As much as I'm not a lebron fan he definitely should get mvp finals with the numbers put although (here comes the lebron hate) he the only one on his team keeping them in it I'm not surprised he's putting those numbers up
I think the best case for Iggy is that he got it done at both ends of the court. When he was on the floor, he kept lebron down to 34% shooting and was able to put up big numbers himself. Before he started game 4, momentum was the Cavs', but he swung the series back to the Warriors.
iggy is getting a lot of credit for defense but in reality it very well could have been harrison barnes or dreymond or shaun livingston. People see that iggy scored an above average amount of points, for igoudala, mostly rim running in transition and having probably his best shooting night in his career, while holding lebron james to 30 points a night, granted on a million shots. to claim that he was the best player in the series by the writers who were jammed into one hot and filthy room is salacious and cowardly. the sum of the parts was greater than the whole. If the dubs never go to that small line up you dont put cleaveland on their heels and run them out to death. you dont have 5 on the perimeter and wide open lanes for a player like iggy who needs created space to operate. congrats to the warriors, they really deserved it but this finals mvp is tainted for me.
