the NBA postponed the rest of the season tonight because of coronavirus, pretty wild. seems they might just freeze the standings as of today & seed the playoffs from those results when things go back to normal, we'll see

rudy gobert from the utah jazz tested postive for it right before tip off in OKC tonight, some dude from juventus in italy has it, plus tom hanks said he's got it down in australia. starting to feel like a dystopian movie plot, yikes

interesting to hear what comes out today. Jazz played a bunch of other teams, but what is nuts is that celebs and A listers are the ones coming out testing positive. And athletes obviously peak physical condition, theyll be okay. But there arnet enough tests to go around for the general public to really contain it.

Wouldn't mind playoffs in the summer. Can they afford to lose out on this much money, after that whole China ordeal?

Yeah good points. Shift the season? When would it even out. Shorten next season? Don’t see this being resolved soon or easily

Now, I guess?

Doubt the season will continue though. The level of hysteria is still pretty low, largely because of the lack testing in the states, and games are already cancelled. Now that they will probably be forced start testing more, the number of cases, and thus the level of hysteria, should skyrocket at least for the upcoming month. It'll take a long time before it's safe for anyone to make the decision to continue the season without fear of being accused of carelessly risking peoples lives if someone gets contaminated, or even negligent homicide if someone ends up dying consequently

Kinda surprised they haven't figured out a decent way to play games yet.

Is it that hard to just test the players and only let in like an eighth of the fans or what?

The HORSE competition I saw was shameful you would think an organization that's been through what the NBA has been through in the last year could have figured this shit out by now. I know I need to be more patient and whatever but the logistics behind a live game of basketball isn't super complicated.

Pat McCaw was rockin a surgical grade mask for multiple games for no apparent reason before all this I don't see why they can't just mask these dudes up and finish the season.

With less fans there is more space for big ass ads and little glass booths for the insane fans to do whatever the fuck in.

Someone call Mr NBA for me

Feels like so fuckin long ago but I think it's been under 2 months still for no NBA. Not sure about the other sports.

Raptors were snappin on fools regularly but had some injuries so every game felt so important.

I check the raptors subreddit every couple days just to stay sane there is usually some little interview or something.

I miss the damn sports talk shows at this point I still check the tv guide for Tim and Sid knowing full well they aren't going to be on.

I'm not a Lakers fan, but I'm a bit bummed we didn't get to see playoffs Alex Caruso. I know the hype surrounding him started off as a meme, but he really did end up displaying a ton of potential and how much of a contributor he could be.

Love when the DJ's try to troll the away team by giving them shitty music to play to. It backfires sometimes but its funny when it works XD

I heard they were considering doing the playoffs in June has anyone been keeping up with this? I feel like Rudy Gobert should be allowed to play but no one should pass to him. Give him the full Danny Green treatment

Those insta posts arent showing up on my browser. I've kinda sworn off instagram at this point

Ordered pre-owned t shirts online that are kinda sick (2 Simpsons tees, Joy Division and Cro-Mags tees, and a shirt with a native american girl staring into flames) . I usually wear flannels so my t-shirt game w
