Hope I am wrong. Completed gutted after ANT’s performance. Almost didn’t score the entire 1st quarter. Finished game 5 for 13 FG with 16 Points. Entering the game, ANT averaged the highest Game 4 points in history. Makes absolutely zero sense what happened last night

Fuckin Knicks squandered their chance to make it 2-2, also Haliburton damn near a triple double by halftime, any dipshit who said he was overrated should be pistol whipped, dude is properly rated there is no stopping the guy when he gets it going.

Much like OKC the other night, the Pacers always had an answer every single time NY got close, also fast break points and points if turnovers again killed the Knicks.

3-1 is basically a death sentence, it’s insane to hold out hope for a comeback and this shit is absolutely mentally draining to watch and pretty stressful but god damn this year’s playoffs have been really really entertaining.

Hope NY can extend at home on Thursday but it is not looking great for them, hope it’s at least a close one.

Knicks had a heroic comeback in game 3, but they’ve already lost the war. Once the Pacers set the tempo, Knicks can’t keep up. Kenny Smith was spot on that Thibodeau wouldn’t play nine guys in a baseball game. He’s going to grind KAT into the ground and the Pacers’ bench is deep. Brunson looked defeated, but might go off in the garden.

OKC/Pacers is going to be a fun watch. Both have young teams with a lot of hustle. I just hope the refs do something about SGA’s bullshit.

Always been Thibs thing... small rotations. Same with those great D Rose Bulls... not sustainable for a long play off run imo.

I mean it's really never over until it's over, but yeah it will take damn near perfect games.

I dunno why social says okc/indy will be a bad finals. Think they match up well with the thunder edging them out talent wise.

I’m not gonna be a sour puss and say I hope OKC sweeps Indiana and whips the ever loving dog shit out of them, I genuinely want to see a long extended series.

In fact I hope Indiana wins some early games and their fans get overly excited and get a taste of what it would be like to win the NBA title only to have OKC big flex on them and shock them back into reality with a gentleman’s sweep or something similar and then ultimately win the championship.

Indiana may actually have a chance against OKC, they have had an insane run this postseason , I can’t believe they have only lost a total of three games in the entire playoffs so far.
They just have too many guys that can score on any given night, and the tempo they play at is fucked, I can see OKC having fits but they should prevail if that defense keeps doing what it does and SGA is his usual self.

I know NY would not have had much of a chance against OKC and it wouldn’t have been ultra competitive or a good matchup but they did provide a lot of excitement and thrills during this postseason run, hopefully they do add some other role players in the offseason so they can continue to be a top 4 squad in the East for years to come.

Only reason i think Indy might be better against 'em, they don't rely solely on one type of offense. Like 3s, mid range, free throws etc. can kind of attack wherever. And a deep bench. OKC same, they just have few less weaknesses in their game. The pace would be crazy...

Wolves Knicks would also be fun af, players against their old teams.

Incredibly sad as well, this would have been a fun one and at least if NY didn’t win the chip then Donte and Julius would get a ring.

Also I went down a giant rabbit hole searching teams down 3-1 in the NBA playoffs, it’s very rare for sure to come back and win the series, but for context the Nuggets did it just 5 years ago during the bubble thing and not only that, they did it twice in the same run, back to back if I’m not mistaken.

The Cavs did it in 2016 and not only did they come back from 3-1 they did it against Golden State in the Finals to win a championship and crazy thing too, Warriors overcame a 3-1 deficit along the way to those Finals as well.

Also related somewhat, Boston was down 3-0 just 2 years ago and forced game 7 but ended up losing, at home no less.

Doesn’t really mean shit I know, but crazy shit has happened and this year especially we have seen a bunch of wild shit go down so far.

Manifest it, mi amigo lol. This post season has shown us, anything can happen...

I'm happy for any matchup since i have no dog in the fight. It's nice to see a new batch of teams in the finals mix...

I also think it's cool the last what 5 or 6 MVPs have been non American... global game has grown tremendously.

The Cavs beat the 72 win dubs too which is wild. Also, the Warriors were down 3-1 in the WCF against the Durant Thunder and pulled off the series win. Both of these series of events lead to the Durant Warriors steamrolling the league for 2 years.

No lead is safe, but 30 at half is pretty damn safe. Time for Ant to purify himself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

Sam Presti... has built two perennial finals contenders a decade apart. Crazy... gotta give credit where's it due.

I saw somewhere picks from when they traded Rashard Lewis to Orlando in 07 has played into this current roster construction too.

Remember it like it was yesterday when they cut into the Knicks finals for OJ.

This year was one of my favorite seasons in a very long time.

PS anybody else ever get to see the Harlem Globetrotters in person?  Good times

Rooting for Indy only because Haliburton is the homie. Glad Knicks got a home victory, but I think this series will end in Indy at 6.

Honestly don’t think either team stands a chance against OKC unless SGA gets injured. Indy couldn’t beat them in the regular season and OKC is going off in the post season.

Not exactly celebrating the Knicks but that was a great response at home tonight.

Game 6 will be intense, Indiana has a chance to close out at home and they better handle their business because if the Knicks happen to steal on Saturday night the Pacers will not win a game 7 in Madison Square Garden, I know they did it last year but NY was injury riddled and this time they are at full strength and if it happens to go to game 7 they will have crazy momentum and Indy don’t want that.

Gotta contain Mathurin coming off the bench, he has 20+ in the last 2 games and was their leading scorer tonight, he’s been huge lately.

Also, and this a very big stat that bears repeating, Pacers haven’t lost back to back games since March, they always find a way to adjust and bounce back after a loss.
Saturday night will be a madhouse in Indy.

I do feel like Indy can hold their own against OKC, they play fast off turnovers and Hali does a great job facilitating the offense while keeping his turnovers low. They'll have their off games but so does OKC. Siakam has been great in big situations and their bench can definitely keep up with or even outplay OKC in any given game. Seems like OKC's D has thrived by daring guys to shoot 3's, and they have a lot of players who can answer that call.

The Knicks are interesting since they haven't looked great this series, and I think OKC can contain Brunson, so the key would be KAT controlling the paint and Mitchell Robinson on D. I think their biggest hurdle is Thibs running the starters into the ground no matter what even when they aren't playing the best together. Last night he seemed to figure out that the bench guys can have an impact but who knows what he'd do in that series.

Can’t front, the Knicks just fell apart to start the third quarter, too many turnovers was the killer in this entire series, points off turnovers in the Pacers favor by a mile.

@Cuban_Lynx I don’t imagine they have a real chance against OKC either but they weren’t supposed to have a chance against Cleveland.

This was definitely an entertaining series and the Knicks had a pretty damn good playoff run that people sure didn’t think they were capable of making, they’ll be back.

But seriously GO THUNDER I would love to see Hartenstein get a damn ring.

Thibs got them there but ultimately fell short by refusing to experiment with lineups and players in the regular season. His overreliance on 6-7 players is why he will never win a chip
