Used to be a huge thunder fan back in 2010-2011, back when they had KD, Russell, Jeff Green, Serge, Thabo, Collison, etc

I don’t watch NBA anymore so that’s why it took me by surprise that they are in the finals. The 2012 finals broke me badly as a sports fan, and I haven’t watched basketball consistently since then. Would like to see them finally win a championship for OKC but it doesn’t make me feel the way it did back then.

Thibs got them there but ultimately fell short by refusing to experiment with lineups and players in the regular season. His overreliance on 6-7 players is why he will never win a chip

This was Nate McMillan coaching Indy. Never made adjustments and leaned heavy on the starters even when we had guys on the bench that were hot. Got canned, went to Atlanta, made the playoffs and then made adjustments and had some success.

Holy shit. Three of the craziest playoff comebacks I’ve ever seen from these Pacers. Hali is clutch AF

I saw on social people saying the Detroit tigers did the same lol black magic since they're so good rn.

Thibs I'm shocked, but not surprised? The minute allocation.... maybe the Knicks brass see the ECF as thibs ceiling? bill Simmons compared it to when mark jackson got let go in 2013 for Kerr...

And Damn I see you Indy...

SGA getting stuffed, then missing a relatively easy perimeter shot was the dagger. Pacers winning game 1 on the road, from behind, was elite.

OKC fans should be worried, pacers are the real deal
You all getting spoon fed a comfortable place.

LOLZ. Stopped watching early in the game. So grateful to check the score late in the game. Weird playoffs. In the beginning, rooting for OKC until the Wolves series. Villain now. Still devastated The Wolves lost . Sports always heartbreaking, only 1 winner

Don’t get me wrong I still hate Haliburton and all the Pacers but this is extremely entertaining.

Everyone seemed to think whatever team came out of the East would get destroyed by OKC and it’s obviously not the case.

I still think the Thunder are going to win the series and I hope it’s in a fashion that makes Pacer fans get a taste of winning a little bit , even thinking they are going to win the title, and then having it cruelly taken away by OKC in a heartbreak of a game 7.

Or a reverse sweep, I’m fine with OKC winning the next 4 in a row by 20 points each, either way.

Watching the Pacers being the most entertaining team by miles in the playoffs not on any of our bingo cards. Even that shot last night real time , after the release thought for sure that not going in  :-X

I sure as shit didn't. I knew they'd fair better matchup wise, but whatever juju they got going on is crazy.....their ball movement, pace, spacing, and clutch-ness has made me eat crow. rick carlisle deserves some props. Turned them into a well oiled machine...

If they win game 2 in okc, man i dunno. Okc will adjust, they're too good defensively.

I’m hoping Indy can get their shit together at home. On paper it looks like a total blowout, but realistically it was just Q2 blowout. Same problem with game 1, they sucked in the first half and played catchup the second half. They’re hella streaky which is exciting but frustrating. OKC is way more consistent with a deep bench and elite defense. Caruso looks like he’s willing to die for this shit.

Gonna be real ,

I have not recovered from The Wolves being smoked . Spiritually, emotionally, & mentally cannot handle watching the Pacers go down . Rooting for them , love the underdogs. Just don’t have it in me to watch real time if that makes sense

Rick doesn’t suck. He does a weekly radio show in Indy every Tuesday, even through the playoffs.  Super nice guy and actually pretty funny. This has been such a wild ride.

I just hope this is the beginning of the scenario I imagined where Pacers fans get a little taste of maybe they are going to win this series and then BAM the Thunder wake the fuck up and crush them in games 4, 5, and ultimately win it in 6.

Pacers bench is simply just fucked, Mathurin 25 points in 22 minutes, what an absolute stud muffin.

Also, T.J. McConnell with 10 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Some nights he’s barely a factor, but last night he was all gas.

A bunch of OKC fans complaining about officiating, but as a playoffs fan, I’m happy they aren’t calling those SGA/Caruso flops.

Only watched the highlights but the 2 steals McConnell at the start of OKC's possessions were so crafty.

Yeah should have definitely mentioned TJ O Connell he’s such a valuable asshole, I mean asset! Asset!

All kidding aside he gave the Knicks fits in the ECF he’s always been a pest but the good kind, 10 points 5 assists and 5 steals in a game off the bench is absolutely sinister.

Can’t believe these motherfuckers are 2 wins away from the title but I’m still holding out hope for OKC to click on and do what they are capable of doing, they absolutely need to get the split in Indy or they are done.

Part of me would be stoked the East wins the championship but why it has to be the Knicks arch nemesis for the past 30 years?

A resounding yes..

Hoping this goes the distance. So keep on with the Locker room rituals, Indy lol

Coach Carlisle also tuned up the pistons right before they won it all in 03-04... Larry Brown had taken over. If Indy wins it, might be in the convo for one of the GOAT coaches. Won it all with two franchises..

As someone who got turned on to the NBA during the Mavs 2011 finals run, the fact that Carlisle is behind the Pacers now is deeply satisfying as well. Wouldn’t mind the Pacers taking it all… obviously it’s not a done deal by any means.

As much as I hate the Cs they aren’t really a playoff nemesis for NY the way the Pacers are, Indy and NY had multiple memorable battles in the playoffs during the 90s along with the Bulls and Heat but Boston was never really in the picture back then as far as a rivalry.

Don’t get me wrong it would have sucked to lose to them in the ECSF and then see them in the NBA finals looking for back to back titles .

Obviously Carlisle’s doing more with less, but Phil Jackson won 6 with da Bulls and 5 with the Lakers… Pat Riley won with the lakers and the Heat too.
