Everybody keeps saying Denver needs to rebuild around Jokic.
Become more athletic, better shooters, better defenders.

…but what I’d like to know is, who can they (realistically) get in a trade?

Murray, Gordon and a pick to New orleans for Tre Murphy and Zion?

Distressed asset Kawhi to denver for (umm) Murray and Christian Braun??

Joker for Giannis?????

Ben Simmons out of retirement to play d, dunk and rebound?

None of these are great…

Give me your best trades to give the Nugs a shot next year. Everybody’s on the table. (You wanna trade Joker, go for it. I wouldn’t, buy it’s an interesting conversation.)

Might I interest you in an aging 41 year old superstar that still is putting up crazy numbers and hitting clutch shots?  As a bonus, I can throw in his 12th man bench playing son to spice things up in exchange for Joker!

It feels about time for LA to do that thing again where they swing a big trade for four old guy all stars. Whats it gonna take for Bron, Joker, Giannis and Steph (and KD?) to form Banana Boat 2026?

Shai should get the same whistle that Dort gets on the other end. Unless you actually wrap him up with some jujitsu shit and take him to the ground, no call.

Looking at you too, Brunson. And don’t think you’re off the hook, James Harden. Any more of that floppity flop and you get two minutes in a closet with 90s Charles Oakley.

Looking forward to tonight, Knicks are on a dare I say historic run these past 4 games but I don’t expect Philly to just bend over and take another belt to the ass again.

All that flippity floppy flopping talk should definitely include Embiid, he is so insane to watch the way his body just looks like he’s about to fold in every direction like origami , I get that his body is not 100 percent but he should just play the way he does when he’s in that dominant phase but you never know what you’re gonna get with this guy.

I fear that Maxey and Edgecombe are going to find a way to go off and possibly playoff PG will rear his ugly head but I don’t know man the Knicks are just firing on all cylinders, they can’t take their foot off the gas because we all saw how Boston whooped the Sixers ass early in the series (without Embiid though) and now here we are.

Death, taxes, and Joel Embiid missing (playoff) games. I still expect the Sixers to play for their lives right out of the gate. Embiid being out will actually help them defensively because they won't have to play drop all the time since he simply can't move at all anymore. Offensively Maxey and this juiced up version of PG can get hot and run away with the game. As a Knicks fan I'm not at all happy about Embiid missing this game, which would've sounded crazy even 2 years ago.

btw, I realize that Embiid coming back is what turned around their series against Boston, but the Knicks play very differently. This team won't be baited into shooting 49 3s when the midrange is open, and neither KAT nor Mitchell Robinson can be pushed around as easily as Boston's bigs. This is not an Embiid series. It can very well be a Maxey series, though.

Oh yeah Embiid is hella floppy.
He’s got nice post moves, soft touch, can defend when he wants to. I’d love to see the version of him with good knees… like taller Hakeem with a jumper.
BUT DUDE GET UP OFF THE FLOOR WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Joker does it too even though I hate to admit it.
KAT flops around but I don’t think it’s always intentional. Never seen anybody so skilled and so uncoordinated at the same time.
But if the calls stopped coming, they’d all quit doing it.

Edit: ok I have to say something positive. Props to OG Anunoby, my favorite player remaining in the east. Tonight he’ll go for 15pts 22reb 7stocks.

Well, you jinxed it. Why did you have to say something positive? OG hurt his hamstring late in the game. No official word yet but he was limping badly. Monumental bummer.

God damn it if OG is seriously hurt I’m going to be very upset, he’s been on a heater since the playoffs began and obviously he’s very integral to the Knicks success so far.

Hopefully it’s just tweaked and not a serious pull that requires him to miss substantial time but hamstrings can be a real tricky injury.

Ugh that’s what I get for trying positivity. Mea culpa. Hate all the injuries.

So instead of complimenting Brunson’s footwork in among the redwoods in the paint, I’ll just continue to shit talk him. Nobody likes KATs new passing hub thing either. Break a leg, you Knickerbockers!

In a similar vein: PG, quit it with all the clever passing and the defense. Perimeter D is so 30 years ago. (Eyeroll)

Thank you for your service.

The injuries really are bumming me out. And since everybody is getting hurt anyways, can the refs please allow playoff basketball to be played like playoff basketball? Calling the games super tight clearly doesn‘t prevent guys from getting hurt, so please just let them play. I’m very much over watching free throws.

Hell yeah, perhaps the Knicks really are finally ready!

Okay, here’s how this will go in my dreams:

Knicks take down Philly, then Detroit in 6 each.

Spurs take down wolves, then the Thunder in 7.

Knicks take down the Spurs in the finals in 6.

A man can dream!

I haven’t posted here in a while and I realize this is just part of the game now, but OKC is driving me nuts again. SGA has mastered playing the whistle, but how does Chet not get a T for this?

I can't watch an OKC game but I've never been a fan of Shai or Chet, and most of the team rubs me the wrong way. Especially Dort. Add in the officiating they benefit from on both ends and a team that flops more than average and it's unwatchable. NBA has manufactured god level ragebait and it'll expand if OKC wins again because are there actual fans of the team outside of the bubble of the state of Oklahoma?

Loving the way my Knicks are playing right now. They do a great job containing Maxey, who is clearly their best and most effective player at this point. Neither the rotting corpse flailing all over the court nor PED P can pick up the slack. That's enough to win this series. Detroit will be very different though. We'll need a completely healthy OG to stand a chance against their physicality.

I straight up don't watch OKC games anymore. This is supposed to be an entertainment product. They make it anything but.

Speaking of entertainment, James Harden playing like playoff Harden will never cease to be outrageously funny. He's got more turnovers than made shots in this series thus far. Will he right the ship tonight? I wouldn't bet on it.
