Man, those Castle turnovers are going to haunt the Spurs if they don't make it to the finals.

This series is shaping up to be a war of attrition. Super bummed to see Harper go out with that hamstring. J-Dub reinjured his hammy, too. I'm afraid the Spurs are gonna miss Harper more than OKC is going to miss Williams.

Vote for your favorite Victor Wembanyama nickname:

V.
Big Vic
Big Yama
Alien
Area 51
Hector Bananabread
Frédéric Gaulle
Wemby
Dhalsim
Lose-benyama (credit to David “you can be mean if you’re funny” Jacoby)
SPF 100 (blocks everything)
VW aka “the Jetta” (these are so bad and I will never stop loving them)
Wham-Bam
Big Slim

…Victor.
Just Victor. Like LeBron is just LeBron. Michael. Larry. Kobe. Dirk. Tim. I mean, it already means “winner.” What more do you need?

Edit: meanwhile…oh shit, the Cavs are up on the Knicks! Didn’t see that coming!
It's got to be Hector bananabread, never heard that one lol
Area 51 and spf100 t for second
Victor. If you say it like guillemores monster

You see it right?

Edit: Victor not playing with force in the first half. OKC killing them on the glass. I don’t like it.

This was exactly the kind of game that made me stop watching Thunder games in the first place. Does anybody actually enjoy their style of play? I'm not arguing its effectiveness, but is there anybody out there who thinks this is how basketball should be played?

Totally agree.

All the grabbing the shirt and hugging is dumb but I guess everybody does it. I’d like it to be called but whatever. (Imagine what Steph Curry’s career would have been if nibody could grab him)

Yanking down on the off arm when someone goes up to contest? That’s clearly some bullshit. Try doing that in any pickup game. See if you don’t get kidney punched the next time down the floor.

Throwing Steph Castle to the floor by his HAIR? How the fuck is that not a suspension?

And then on the other end all the flopping, all the whining.
The Bad Boy Pistons, the Grit and Grind Grizzlies, the early 2000s Pacers…these were physical, mean, even dirty teams. But they also took as much as they dished out. (Well, except for Crybaby Bill Laimbeer, aka the Isaiah Hartenstein of the 80s)

I don’t want to watch a football game when I’m watching a basketball game.

@gringo_viejo exactly. If you play defense like this:

It's very lame to play offense like this:

Unfortunately i don't think it'll change for a min. Not sure what happened to fining for it. Or call it as a personal foul if it's an egregious flop.

Either the finals or they'll be the first team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead. As much as some people would like to see that, I really don't think these are the same old Knicks anymore. I fucking love this team.

Look like Cavs have fully accepted their fate again. Confusing team. On paper it looks like it'd work but it isn't. Not for lack of trying, even after bringing Harden, Schroeder, and Ellis while trusting the core for another year. Wonder what moves they make in the off season. Might be time Kenny "Um, ya know" Atkinson gets the axe.

Lol a lot of people still not convinced Knicks are for real. “Oh wait till they play the Spurs” or “All that just to lose to the Thunder”.

Haven’t lost in over a month and when they did it was two games by a grand total of two points.

This is a historic run they’re on and if you think they can’t hang with either San Antonio or OKC you’re just kidding yourself or like the kids say, you don’t know ball. Period.

I had a hard time caring after that Fox foul call on SGA. Fox had his hands behind his back while stepping away and Shai still got the whistle.

Wemby half court buzzer beater was wild. Praying for Spurs/NYK but I’m still not sure who I’d cheer for. Normally NYK, but seeing Popovich come back to life had me feeling warm and fuzzy.

Agree on pops 1000%, but spurs have the future in their hands and titles within the past 50 years.  Gotta root for the Knicks to do the double

I know. I’d be hyped if they got the chip. I’m still processing the Bucks win from 5 years ago. Never thought it would have happened in my lifetime.

This isn’t the Knicks’ fault, but my feed is clogged with celebrity cams at the garden. Like OMG! Taylor and Travis chugging beer courtside! Then Pops/Duncan observing menacingly from a dark room like Palpatine/Vader really won me over. Pops personally chewed out the whole staff after the game 3 loss and Caruso score 0 points in game 4. Wish Phil Jackson still did shit like that.

I’m also 100% here for the Star Wars movie based on the Spurs and the early 2000s western conference.

Analytically the Cavs are still in it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Donovan “Don’t let us get one “ Mitchell, okay they didn’t let you get one.

Historic ass whipping, it cannot be stressed enough, Knickerbockers are unfadeable right now.

Hope the Spurs and Thunder go 7 and beat the living dog shit out of each other.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, analytically speaking we've still got 2 more to go. And James Harden (2/8, 5 TO) said after game 4 that the Cavs are the better team. I'm not counting my chickens yet.

I guess this is what the youngins call cope.

Cavs, Rockets, Warriors, Bucks and Nuggets need to pool their resources and make two or three plausible playoff contenders.

That press conference will live in infamy until the end of time. “You look confused. Let me explain”
