Bummer High went out of business and he got kicked off Converse at the same time Pappalardo did. I think he's done. His part in A Visual Sound is still one of my favorites. I hope his music career is doing well for him.

This guy is still pretty much my favorite skater. I guess Bummer High going under wasn't his fault but the investor's who he brought in (according to SkateTalk)
I hope he's got a fat retirement plan worked out. His band rules too

That prevent this tragedy footage is too good. It wasn't "older guy milking it" type stuff.  If he gave just a tiny bit more of a shit he could be on any number of companies and continue to put out footage/make some money for years to come.  Kind of a shame.  Still left a ton of great documented skating behind regardless,  though.

Fowler is the shit and always will be.

He still has the Bummer High website, he uses it as a blog now though. He shows all the art he does and projects he's working/worked on.

Hasn't been updated since May though.....

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

my all time favorite.

syd + ethan v.2.0 = the best match of a song to a skater ever, with Ethan v.3.0 + Electric Wizard close behind

MJ + yo la tengo or MJ + stereolab was also close...
hardly art, hardly starving

He won't go back to stereo.
I'm saying I'd like to see him on black label. They both need each other.

An all time favorite. Would love to see more from him. Those Prevent This Tragedy tricks were no joke. Dude's still got it.

I was hoping he'd get on Heroin with Daniel Shimizu, but that doesn't appear to be happening. He's to good to just fade away like that.

Just remembered something funny. I would watch that "Nervous Breakdown" part every day like 6 years ago and decided to start wearing all black one summer. I don't think anyone got who I was copying though, haha. Ethan is cool personified on a skateboard

I also had a serious all black phase after watching nervous breakdown. Ethan has been in my top 5 since the Stereo days.

I'm sure we've all seen it, but I may as well post it. It's actually the first part I saw from him. Fowler is true blue.

MJ + yo la tengo or MJ + stereolab was also close...

Can you clue me in on this? I've seen Mj skate to the Yo La Tengo song, Promise Ring, Nina Simone, Nancy + Lee, Joy Division, the Stones, Built to Spill, and New Order, (all of which was outstanding); I'd rather not go into the disappointment of FF's soundtrack, and I'm eagerly awaiting watching him skate to Bowie's "5 years," but when, pray tell, did he use a Stereolab song?

MJ's profile and best of parts are just too fucking awesome...god I watched that so many times as a kid.  the front blunt kickflip and the dork-off slam trying to bail the back fifty...burned in my memory forever.
