Weird that those strawberry cough dunks never came out. I remember hearing they were pushed back to like fall 2020 but here we are in 2021 and never dropped.

I’ve only seen resellers sell them for no box for $2k

All the whining about not being able to access the shoes is overkill. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Y’all should be buddied up to your locals owners anyway and in that case spending enough where they’d want to look out. If that’s not the case then they suck already. But there’s plenty of ways to get what you want if you put your due diligence in, just saying.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

I can barely justify paying full price for some SB Dunk High Pros in a colorway I like. Normally I'd just wait until they went down to $60+ free shipping. With neither of those things possible in the past couple of years it's just not worth it for me.

I didn't even say I won't be able to access these pieces of shit. I don't want to. I only check this thread to be informed about blazers in sensible colours.

I'm glad skateshops can profit of off these Mardi Gras specials but this is simply a nuisance to look at.

All of the hypebeasts who we’re trying to get Kobe’s will now try to get Dunks. At least you have a small chance to “win” Dunks. Kobe’s unless you pay resale or have NBA connects you have no shot in hell anymore.

Want a better shot at getting dunks? Do what the poster said above and develop a relationship with your local and spend money there. I’ve seen them treat their regulars right. Probably can’t get every release, but a colorway you’re stoked on

I think they were already trying to get dunks. And also nike can probably still release old Kobe retros, just not create new kobe models

Depends on the contract. Kobe's name could've been licensed for the past run of shoes. Either way, there's zero chance that Kobe's estate doesn't re-up a contract for future production with Nike. Controllers of his estate aren't going to just shut down an income source.

IMO the Kobe and Dunk crowd are different, only thing in common is they are "sneaker heads". The Dunk is a lifestyle shoe, way more versatility. My local has been out of business, but I have more Dunks than I know what to do with.

Now it seems as though majority of local shops are all doing raffles. No time to be chasing down shoes anymore, that shit isn't cool.
