is the idea behind OG Classics to protect the graphic? and does that actually seem to work?
That was just the wheel shape back in the late 80s when they first came out, as far as I can recall.
The very first Spitfire wheels someone had on ebay a while back I saw were just a single colour (black) print, fairly small swirl actually, but in that similar shape, maybe more like 60 mm, but I can't remember now.
But as to the current ones, I think it is just a thing that some people really like about them, because the graphic just does not wear off as it is on the inside edge and never touches anything, unlike Classics which come off on the first grind really.
* Couldn't find the pics I had, but I think some old Thrasher mags had ads for them too. The only one that comes up is that shape but not that graphic.
