Well guys I just thought I’d share I found a set of 53mm f4 classic fulls for sale and swooped them up. They will get here Wednesday and so I’ll post some pics on here and possibly the set up thread when I get them, but just wanted to say thanks to @Mbrimson88 for the info on the sizing and such. And glad I found some

Nice!

Always good to get a set of wheels in the shape and size you wanted.

I guess it's the inconsistent ones that give me pause, like you see sets online where some of the wheels are darker than others, which makes me think they might not ride/wear the same. Maybe if I see a decent price on a set I'll try em out.

Yeah I have bought a few old completes as well as a few left over lots of old wheels from time to time, some of which are super old, eg a late 90s Real 8.25 with Stage 8 Indy trucks and Spitfire Cardiel K-Os 59.5 mm wheels, super old and yellow looking but as they had already been skated, I put them on another board and they were really good, no issues.

Some other wheels, maybe other brands more than Spitfire, went really chalky and one chunked out a lot, but it was only one set that I recall that happening to, with all the rest still skating fine, maybe better than what they would have from brand new.

Any very new original urethane Spitfire wheels often wore down faster and flat spotted way more easily than some older yellowed sets, so I always loved going to lots of different shops on my travels and finding the old wheels or clearance wheels which I thought skated way better anyway.

I recall a well known guy locally here ask me "Why are you skating onions?" which I can understand - why would someone who has access to everything skate such old yellowed looking wheels, but as said above, they skated so much better than newer wheels at the time, so I was not at all worried there.

This was all before Formula Four came out, so there weren't as many options pre 2012, in that regard.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I can't tell which size he's riding, but definitely feel the stoke coming off Simon in waves in those clips. Makes me want to charge some of the more horrible crust around here

I just ordered a set, and will let you know in about a week, unless a shop employee chimes in or someone gets their set sooner.

Hell yeah, 93 classics in 60, 58, 56 and radial fulls? So good

The 93s wear down so fast that you could get those bigger classics to the sweet spot pretty quick and then they'll wear down a little slower from there with the wider contact patch

I saw an Instagram post where he was skating the 58 radial 93s and they were pretty worn down

Yeah they do wear pretty quick but seemed to be more durable than both versions of the F4 97s, in my experience.

I've had two sets of the old 97s and four sets of 93s, and they fared about the same for me. I like the 93s better though. I gotta grip some of the 56 classics asap

Yeah, I think I prefer the 93s over the 97s also, IF I'm not on 99s which is the all time unfuckwithable F4 duro.

Now that they're back, I wonder how the guy feels that bought a set of 93s for like 90 dollars yesterday on eBay or the dudes locked in a bidding war over $60 for a set right now, or the two people asking up to $200 for a set on there haha

Glad I held off on paying stupid prices for the 93s on eBay. I was getting desperate for another set for a minute there.

.

What is the current price on the new 93 duro wheels on DLX Skateshop site for you guys in USA?

It comes up with $67 to $73 or so but I am thinking that is the AU equivalent / AU dollar conversion.  Yes I could just use a converter again, but I am curious what they actually come up with for others.

Guessing they are still around the $45 to $49 mark as per other US shops, but I wasn't sure if they were way more expensive now.

Also pretty crazy how some people have posted ridiculous prices for them on ebay, but I guess there will always be someone like that who will try to make a dollar or more from hard to get product.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

$46-$52.

Two months ago I was told they where being made again but after I posted here I got word the first sets where not even going to make it to retail. They must give out about 200 sets of wheels a month 😛

I’m tying to embed the photos if someone can help but I got the classic fulls and they are from like 3+ years ago! Also posting the size chart they came with since grant taylor posted the leak of classic fulls. So hopefully they help someone else like someone helped me :)

Here's the chart from yours

Here's one I found online, not sure when it's from

Interesting to compare and contrast the two

bigheads being wider but with a narrower contact patch

When you upload to imgbb you want to use the 'BBCode full linked' option to copy and paste the correct tags that will show the full image here. Example:

On topic: I haven't seen the 93s land here yet. Definitely going to end up with a new trove of wheels at this rate.

I have a set collecting dust and I gave away my 97 also because they were too quiet. But in the words of the great Glenn Frey, “don’t let the sound of your heart own wheels drive you crazy”.

thank fucking god they’re back. I’m still sitting on a set from the last run but now I won’t have to run them till they’re 35’s lmao. Also if they wear down just as quick some 54’s will be 52’s in like 2 weeks
fuck you bama
