Thus spoke Zarathustra.
But Deluxe themselves made a point of saying “Entry Level Wheels” in their ad copy.
Sound like F4 to you, or more like some cut downs made from leftover stock of Soft Ds or something?
I may or may not have contacted somebody at Deluxe for info on the matter.
They’re not F4 wheels, but please do go ahead: pick up a set & get back to us w/ your opinion on them.

My uncle works at DLX and he said these are actually an esoteric blend of dehydrated pineal glands, uranium 235 and the blood of flow riders. He also told me about the upcoming Spitfire and French's collab, be on the look out for the new spicy mustard formula 5's available only at your local Zumiez.

Also - we landed on the moon.
There you have it, I reckon; that looks to be a DLX generated label & it clearly says F4.

Good thing I enjoy the taste of crow.

Let us know how they go.
Interested in how the slide compares, primarily, as well as whether they absorb rough texture as well as, say, the 97s or 93s.

Guessing plenty of others will likely have additional questions for our brave test pilot as well.

As an aside,I recently heard a fantastic conspiracy theory that NASA themselves started the whole faked moon landing talk in order to hide the real truth: once up on the moon, the astronauts realized the earth actually IS a flat disc (because it looks like a circle?) & for some reason they’d rather tarnish their own rep than reveal the “truth.”  Paging Blake Carpenter.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me… You think you got me?

It's probably leftovers from developing the 93a formula - same as the ones in that Reynolds post from 2022

Kinda like how lil smokies are cut down from defective wheels or whatever

Just selling everything they make

These are going to be at their peak in a month or two when they are worn down to 54s. Just be sure to rotate those things every so often. Hyped for you

I got to Skate my 93’s yesterday for just a little bit of time. Omg.

You could probably track me around the city with a people sniffer. I was so excited. That is until the rain came back

Hell yeah I really want some of those 60mm classics, I think I'll cruise em for a while and when they get down to 54mm swap em to my main board

Also interested in 56mm classics and 54mm radial fulls all in 93a

I already had and loved the 54mm 93 classics

Tried the 93a 58mm radials and didn't like the combo of the larger diameter and blunter edge, but I had a good time on my 99a 60mm classics so ugh I might just throw some 93 60s on my main setup and just ride em till they're small

Sounds like the plan for sure. I might just start collecting a 93a ice chest. Like every time I see a soft slider over 56mm just grab um up. Same with 97s. I love those too.

everytime i have a 90a-97a wheels it's not hard enough, or not soft enough and never good in any aspect, just a middle point which is never great in my mind.

I know there were some interested parties for this, so I'm sharing.
We just got a restock of some f4 97's and they came with the new updated formula sticker.
only in
53mm classic shape
54mm classic shape
54mm radial full shape

any others on our site are assumed to be regular 97a formula.

Thank you for the intel, just grabbed some 54 radial fulls from you guys. Looking forward to trying the new formula

Seems like a number of shops are posting about those new 95 duro wheels.

This is just one I noticed in particular, as they have a lot of them, it would seem.

Reposting this here as well, because Spitfire have now made it official - the Reformulated 97s are back and in all shapes and sizes they had before, so for those people who did prefer the original 97s, stock up as you might not get them any more.

Take your pick: Classic, Conical Full, or Radial Full. In skate shops now."

Just picked up some of the new 95s as the local had them. $24. Not sure why I got them. What are they going to do better than my 93s? Maybe grip on slippery indoor surfaces... we shall see, I suppose....

Ha yeah, that is true, but once I figured out how to use an angle grinder and round down big wide wheels, I can reshape almost anything, so any of those Radial Full wheels get that treatment these days and they feel so much better to me now.

Example in the Radial Full 54 mm wheel, which is 38 mm wide with 25 mm ridings surface - I can take some off the sides to go from 38 mm wide down to approximately 35 - 36 mm wide well enough, then round them off as much as is needed, so they can still be 54 mm in diameter, but with a 20 - 22 mm riding surface.  This can be done to the bigger sizes too.

* I really think Classic Full wheels are one shape they only ever do limited releases of now, but at least that is better than not at all, eg Radial Slim.  Maybe there is just not enough interest in the current market for them, or if it comes down to it, some people prefer a Classic as is, then others prefer a Conical Full or Radial Full shaped wheel.

I'm so glad the new 97s are back, and, from what I can tell, more readily available. I too got a set of my preferred shape and size at my local yesterday and can't wait to give them a go.

The past 6 months or so have been pretty rough for me. My dog died unexpectedly, my kid was seriously ill, and my dad had a heart attack. To top it off I myself have been sick for all but a couple of weeks here and there. But I somehow feel like getting these wheels is the turning point. Maybe I should wait til 2026 to put them on. Don't wanna bring the bad juju into the new year.

Anyway, I can't wait to bitch about how my whole setup feels wrong when I finally get back on my board. See you in the gear madness thread.

Really sorry for your dog, losing mine some years ago was among the worst times in my life. Hope your kid and dad get better.

Betcha you're gonna have a great ass time on the new duro 97s, though. They're my favorite wheel these days. True ATV material, and in my opinion better than the X97. Which is not a bad wheel either.

those will be really good
i wont really miss the old 97a other than they are a tiny bit louder. also id say really the only drawback is the squeak it can make when the rail or ledge is very dry is kind of irritating. but it always seems to slide the way you'd expect which is kinda what you want. i think its almost like a sign for you to just wax the damn thing.

personally i would suggest getting new bearings or rotating out any shitty bearings in the set you plan on setting up. cause the wheels are so quiet that bad sounding bearings really annoy the hell out of me. but if you have a set of fresh bearings on here on well oiled axles on a prime surface, it actually sounds so so good.

in what aspect are mid duro wheels good for ?
if i wanna cruise i'll ride 78a-87a, if i want to street or park i'll ride 99a-101a.
everytime i have a 90a-97a wheels it's not hard enough, or not soft enough and never good in any aspect, just a middle point which is never great in my mind.

I just like how it feels like the beginning. They aren’t faster, but they feel faster because of the inertia retention and it Gives me confidence. When I bomb a hill on a fat 58-60mm 97 or less. Especially switch.
I’m like I just did a hit of the original stoke I discovered in the 80s. It rules my entire existence. I got like well over half of my entire experience on softer wheels. The nirvana kick doesn’t come so easily on a hard wheel especially with loose trucks on the ground around here.

I wish I could just skate plazas and ride skinny ass tablets in some city but I’m like just spontaneously wacking whatever gets in my way. Doing kick flips and impossible. Switch front 3s if it’s a good day. Lots of switch front biggies. Back biggies. For grinders nearly every switch fakie or regular grind I do is a 50/50 or a 5oh variation cuz nothings waxed that much and I can’t stand still long energy to be bothered often. While everyone else is at the park or the diy in in the streets always.  You know cruising the burbs or mashing across town to go get chores done or visiting one of my 3 favored curbs or wall rides. And soon the neck’s dock gaps cuz I saw they are back.

This is the way.

I can’t be who I truly am without a big ass soft wheel. And even who I’ve become now that they slide and don’t flat spot. I can only imagine what life with be like if we had a purple 58mm oh gee classic in  97 or 95 tho!

That wheel would be like the “good bone” wheel from courage the cowardly dog for me. I couldn’t ever stop spinning it in my hand when I wasn’t mashing my board skyward on an un mudded jersey barricade witha crowd of confused tourists looking at me all shocked
While I’m repeatedly beating and trashing a pile of the best dlx / bones bearings product that 2025 has to offer. In a 30 pound spikey jacket no less. And cussing my soul out for the one that hits.

When I get cremated I’m gonna have a box that has venture ti’s ceramic reds and fucking purple swirls on it. Be nice if it was also 95a. Make um light purple like my broken heart for what could have been had I not been smitten by the bloard at age 5.

That’s what these wheels do for me
