watching stuff like this makes me appreciate this kind of skating so much more, the hammer clip hit hit editing makes you forget how gnarly something really is sometimes. that's why I like ishods skating, he does some dope tech gnar nollie flip street line with like 6 or more tricks and then sw fs biggies love with style. SOTY good choice, sure hes on nike and skates in street league but he belongs on a skateboard no doubt

I sprained my finger skating on the weekend and remember thinking "what an odd injury for skating" but here we are, Ishod broken finger on the Love Gap.

Anyway that was a fun watch. I really liked it when you could tell he found the confidence and had the trick and all he had left to do was roll away.

I've said this in another thread, but there was an interview with some pro that has skated both (I'm pretty sure it was either Chris Cole or Andrew Reynolds) a long time ago where he said the primary difference was that Love was a bit taller and that Wallenberg was a bit longer, which is to say you're more likely to wheelbite at Love but more likely to come up short at Wallenberg. The bystander factor at Love shouldn't be overlooked either though, it looked like Ishod was having to steer around a bunch of people while he was rolling up. They honestly seem like equally fucked up obstacles to skate.

I haven't been to either but you can tell wallenberg is haggard as fuck and ive read somewhere that the run up was a sketchy ass hill where you had to carve around the corner of the building (before they renovated the school and people started using a roll in).  love gap looks basically perfect, but then again you have to consider the bust factor and overload of pedestrians and crackheads.  can't go wrong with either

i'm a pussy but LOVE looked almost doable, wallenberg is diesel and sketch. the one boon to wallenberg though is you can do 2, 3 and work your way up. of course each step up is 5 feet of flat but i think that helps. LOVE is whole car or no car.

ive been to both and wallenburg is a longer and lower than love. keep in mind that the landing of the love gap is chipped away paint that is slippery and shitty as hell and the run up has cracks because the tiles have gotten all fucked up. the biggest difference is that any of the recent tricks at wallenburg were done with a roll in. Ishod had to throw down and push switch and dodge hella people.

you also have to keep your eye out for cops. we got chased out when he was trying it, then came back like 20 minutes later. having to deal with dumb tourists taking pictures at the love sign and the stress of worrying about cops behind every corner makes skating the gap that much gnarlier.

I have to agree that the bust factor adds a whole other level of difficulty to LOVE. I skated LOVE  last March and was looking around everywhere paranoid as fuck. I heard that if they catch you it's $300 bucks.Well, that's what an owner of a skate shop told me.
