damn john sciano has a lot of ads and a interview in here they put him fully on lakai too which is cool.  Gilbert is actually happy on workshop as stated in the interview I'm glad he's staying loyal.

Double dang! I like that everything this dude puts out makes you go " whoah"! Much like Mr. Suciu, he stylishly does all of the tricks that you wish you could do. The photos are bangn and the layout is smooth! Simply stoked.

I don't have any pictures or specific details of them up close, but when I met him at Venue they looked like they were all the old school/classic american style, really well done too. It's not that surprising since that style is HUGE in Richmond, and there are a ton of solid artists there.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

I like when they show something about the spot so that you can find it with some research, like those highway signs.  It's as if they want to say, yeah come find the spot, you can't fuck with it anyway

Who said that?

EDIT: Also, what do ya'll think of gilbert crockett's quote when speaking on quality control of footage and skateboard "genres"?

"If you're down for everything then you're down for nothing. If you like everything, what kind of character is that? How real are you actually being? You can't like everything. People are full of shit."

In a way I feel like its true, but to dictate yourself only to a specific type of skating seems silly to me. Bruce Lee didn't believe in styles...To an extent I think its all fake; all types and styles of skating are studied and can be recreated to an extent, so I don't see how any of it is any realer than anything else. Ah shit, this is turning into some sort of conceptual art/authenticity debate in my head...

might be over thinking it, probably just saying "everybody likes some things more than others and if you pretend not too then your not being honest"

Love Gilbert and all those tricks in the interview, but that is not a great photo for the cover.

Agreed. Could have been a cool cover if the photo was better. Needs more Sturt level shit.

From working in the industry, I can tell you that the pros who were highly picky with which clips they released are the ones who are now regarded as legends. The ones who didn't have high standards for quality control have been largely forgotten. Quality is key.

well said, and quite true.  BUT, that being said, when you're considered "legend status", I feel like that high standard should go out the window (to an extent).  Talking w/ Joe Brook and this came up and he talked about dudes like Rick Howard and other older "legend" dudes, and how they won't just put out anything.  And I completely respect that, but when you've reached that status, people just want to see you skate.  I guess that's what bums me out a bit, not seeing clips from legendary dudes because it's not "current" or "ground breaking"....
