Im having a bit of hernia in my back. Nothing too bad and I’ve already had it a few times, it usually just goes randomly.
I ride x99 - would x97 or spitfire 93 make any difference ? I can also invest in more ibuprofens
Yeah, they're not magic, especially in that regard. Back pain is gonna be tied to your knees/hips / your shoes / impact (unless you've thrown your back out sneezing like us old people have happen). I've switched to wide/barefoot shoes and high arch insoles full time: skating, at home, working/going out; unless I am sleeping I've got shoes on. Doing this has easily dropped my lower back and knee pain down significantly.
The amount of foot soreness/ache after session due to 101a/103a wheel
vibration compared to an x99/97/spit 93 is fkn crazy. With the latter *I* don't get it (and presumebly it helps with knee pain and thereby some back pain as vibration travels throughout your body), but it takes you skating both to notice what the effects are either on your skating (slide tricks) or your body (aches and pains).
The different between and x99/97/dragon/spit 93 is marginal depending on crust level; x99 and spit 93s are damn near the same with spits sounding better, being a tad slower, softer and stickier....by just a bit.
They for sure help with impact as well, but like beefy shoes, they don't fix the impact problem, just lessen it so you can get a few more tries in/feel less broken the next day.
TL;DR dropping down to 93spits/dragons from bones x99 won't fix your back.
