from what i've read on here it seems like the bones/powell wheels are grippier than spitfire's equivalent, so a 93 dragon should be grippier than a f4 93 and an x97 should be grippier than a f4 97. i've only tried old spit 97s and i really like them, they're less slippery than 99s but still slippery, not the best for indoor stuff but definitely an improvement.
i've ridden the 93 Dragons and the 93 Spitfires in the last few days and they are honestly pretty different. I'm doing to stick with the Spits for now but I like both and will definitely be keeping the Dragons.
The Dragon 93's feel like a soft wheel that can act like a hard wheel. They're a little bouncy, the sound like a soft wheel, they're grippy, they roll over crust l ike it's not thereand they definitely shock absorb cracks etc... and yet somehow they slide great!
The Spitfire 93's feel like a hard wheel that can act like a soft wheel. They sound like a hard wheel, the slide like a hard wheel, they're fast like a hard wheel and they don't shock absorb crack nearly as well as the Dragons. Yet somehow they're great on crust and keep my old ass knees and feet on the board longer than a hard wheel.
