No.  This guy was my absolute favorite skateboarder.  His 411 profile was my favorite part ever.  I could also deeply relate to his struggles with disease and having to quit skateboarding because of it.  I've always held out hope for more Matt Reason footage.  I really hope this isn't true.

He had Lyme disease; not sure if that had anything to do with his death, but I'm pretty sure it's why he quit skating

FUCK THIS. Dude was one of the best to ever do it. Got to play S.K.A.T.E. with him at LOVE around '92ish and he played switch to give us youngin's a chance. That's the kind of guy he was. Wishing his family and friends love and strength.

The Sub Zero video was on CONSTANT rotation when I was a young one.  Loved his part and it's even better when I watch it these days.

i loved the symmetry 360s and front boards. sw 3 flip down city hall stairs in acme and sw bs flip stayed w/ me. he really embodies what ricky was saying about 'i'm skating that way. not regular not switch, just that direction.'

Fucking bummed! My all time favorite skateboarder hands down. One of my all time favorite skate memories was getting to skate with him, Serge, Tony Cox, Matt Pales and a another Philly head whose name I can't recall. Took them around Berkeley, skated a delivery truck bumper, skated the tennis court banks. Damn I am in shock, he was way to young!!

It appears he had a bad case of the flu that turned into pneumonia. These complications led to heart failure. Such an unfortunate thing to happen. Whenever I'd watch this guy's parts it seemed like skateboarding clicked. He's who I would want to skate like. Rest easy Matt...
