I've been skating the Schaaf for a while and it goes. Such a good shape.
Good to read that, just out together that Schaaf. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Bought one of these antihero shirts even though I stopped skating their boards after kanfoush wallied a bum :-\ Got a baker board that I'll post whenever I set it up, it's the 8.5, 14.5 32 OG shape w mellow concave and it is virtually identical to the alltimers board I'm skating right now, also BBS. I've probably skated this shape or something very close to it from four or five different brands at this point. Just funny because chances are it originated from antihero anyway

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

56mm for the crust setup

That is the first set of those I have seen anywhere (other than the stock / catalog pics).

They already seem to be in very short supply, according to a few others I have talked to.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

A bit of both - something along the lines of "demand exceeded production in unprecedented levels" for all DLX hardgoods, so I guess more people want them than ever, but they are still trying to catch up from covid issues.

I still haven't heard if those other 97s in the info are just the normal Classic or OG classic though...

Not a worry to me either way, but I know people would love a 97 OG classic!

interesting. Hopefully they adjust their production/orders in the near future if they see the demand for 97a. I’m loving my 97a 54mm classics.  I’d like to try the 56mm and I think I’d rather have the conical full over og classics. Either way though, I’d take either

Setting up the skate shop and forgot I bought 3 ply risers too. Did the "less plastic - better feel" on the label. Also " Designed to fit Thunder Baseplates" ACEs seem to be 1/16-1/32 of set. Wish I had 57 97as right now too with the added height.

So yeah, this is the Large mystery box from Magenta. Everything here is XL.
The reg price on this is 150 euro. (175ish US) but Magenta sent out a discount code about a month ago and I used that, 20% off, bringing it down to 125 Euro (147ish US). I also bought an 8.875 board and some 53mm wheels to make the shipping a bit more worth it. Here's what I got:

2 XL SS tees (the ash and green - 35 euro each, so 70 euro)
1 XL LS tee (white - 50 euro)
1 XL Crew Neck (red - 75 euro)
1 XL coaches jacket (115 euro)
key chain (10 euro)
sticker pack (15 euro)
patch pack (25 euro)
DVD (13 euro)
Coin/Weed purse (this style not on their site)

As you can see, that is roughly 375 euro worth of product...not fucking bad...would def do it again. Big fan of Soy and Magenta.

ok thanks

Lol I know.  I’m thinking it maybe has something to do with production getting logjammed with Covid and him not having an official board sponsor for so long that they’re all out at the same time.

The shape looks pretty interesting.  Pretty pointy and tapered at the ends; almost a football with straight sides.  Eager to try it out

Copped some bolts at the local. The dude automaticly handed me Diamond Supply allen heads which was fine for me. He told me they don't even stock Phillips heads anymore. I also needed speed rings. They had none for sale but he rummaged around in his toolbox for a while to give me his 4 last (used) speed rings for free.   8)

Included speed rings are wonky as fuck shape-wise, I have not seen such low quality speed rings before (you can see how off they are in the pic) they are almost oblong shaped but seem to be flat which is all that matters. I think the ring is wider overall - compared to stock thunder and indy washers for sure - and seems to be made to cover/overlap the entire inner race. Nit picking here.

They follow the 'balls out' design of all Bronson's. Thin red line faces out.

Set them up in spit tablets, no issues with the spacers being too wide, bearings sit flush in their seats. Minimal play inside for the spacer.

First roll, they're smooth and really quiet, but it's going to be a while before they break in; will report back.

Not having the case's lid click to lock into place is really annoying, it just falls off unless you store it upright = rubber band to the rescue; I've got the bones bearing cleaning kit so I doubt I will ever use this to clean anything (but I will store cleaned bearings in it).

Super good initial feedback. Thank you. My shop hooked me up with a BCU and while pretty nifty and handy, I fully agree that the lack of snap-on or clasp for the lid is a really stupid oversight. Thanks again and keep the updates coming!!!!

If you don't want to pay 50 cents a bolt, you can order 1" allen bulk from pretty much any hardware/industrial supply company. For a while grainger had boxes of 100 for like 45 cents but I think they're sold out now (I may have bought 8 boxes), but even full price is only a couple bucks per hundred. Nuts are sometimes not easy to get a good deal on but they're cheap anyways... just look for #10 nylock nuts.

Here's the ones I got a bunch of -

https://www.grainger.com/product/4XY14?RIID=54198148675&GID=&mid=OrderConfirmation&rfe=37f9818468eb09ea2005f965e8cec3aa74ddf544798e93697a14a5963a5f7c99&gucid=EMT:10339122:Item:CSM-323&emcid=NA:Item

Besides the amazing price they have a wider head than most skate hardware which keeps things nice and tight since they don't work their way down into the holes over time. If you really want colors you can color them with a paint marker or nail polish.

Not that I condone it, but there's a pretty big difference between kicking flipping over a bum sleeping in the middle of the spot and doing a wallie off one (which is what the initial post made it sound like). People have been doing that pretty much since street skating started and I think it was even a challenge in THPS or one of those games.
