Been having fun on my theories deck with a 14.5" WB, so I grabbed some of the longer WB quasi decks to stash. Hopefully, if I can stay happy on 14.5"s, I wont be cursed to wander tactics for all eternity searching for wide boards with 14.25"s and below. My job wants to send me to Germany next month though, so they'll probably wind up in the hands of some Pulaski kids when it's all said and done.
[close]

is 14.5 the most common WB for 8.5's? that's def my preferred size/wheelbase, but i always have to check and make sure, i thought 14.25 was pretty common for 8.5's.
14.25's are getting more common, but for it a minute it felt like the only place you could get them consistently was FA/Hockey. In any size wider than 8.5" though, your options quickly dwindle.

Oddly enough, the only options at that point are Dwindle pressed boards. Creature stumps are 9" with a 14.25 WB. If you can fine them, stock up on them. They go quick.

Snagged some Ace AF1 55ís from warehouseskateboards for $46 shipped. I havenít skated them yet - still waiting for my current set of indys to snap.

Thanks again to @Xen for the heads up on the low priced AF1ís

Different or uncomfortable fit, hard to wear straight out of the box, anything specific for you?

Always curious to hear, but kind of disappointing for you if they are not so good.

Tried an old insole in them (which often makes new shoes feel a lot more like home).
Different fit but the worst for me is the rubber being like "shiny", it flicks super weird for me.

I bought an antihero snapback and it's the worst fitting hat ever. I should have tried it on in the shop, but it didn't cross my mind that a regular ass hat could be so shitty and ill fitting.

Also got a black label jake reuter football.

Youíre going to love that football more than any other shape youíve ever skated. Snapped mine today and had another on ice I gripped up. Fucking love that board so much.

Some / all of the new caps have been such a weird fit or super small lately from DLX, or at least the ones I have seen and tried on.

Between some companies getting their own caps produced, they might work on some heads, but not on mine and I usually wear more the mesh or snap back variety, not the unstructured ones, but some have been way too shallow, others just that weird in between size or even kids size, so yeah I have definitely had some caps that had to go as they just don't fit at all.

What sort is the one you got?

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

It's this one. Admittedly, I have a large dome and wear a 7.5" New Era, but I was on the last snap on this thing. Gave it to my poser wife.

I'm skating through something right now, haven't set it up yet. What trucks are you running? All I have are 5.8 ventures but I feel like they're going to make the nose and tail non-existent. I might have to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new.

Got two pairs of black regular dakota workpants 34 x 34 for cheap af. I fit more of a 30 in the waist but I like a looser fit. 34 lenght cause im tall and skinny but still like to cuff.

These aren't my actual boards, but I did buy two of these direct from Jeremie.

I have battled weight-obsession, body dysmorphia, and an eating disorder my whole life. So I dont know if it was a good or bad idea for me to own this board, and I don't even know for sure what Pontus' intent was with the graphic, but I saw them and immediately had to have one to skate, and one to keep.
ok thanks

I also recently got an antihero snapback that I'm not too hyped on, it had a super good structure the first time I wore it but it became pretty unstructured almost immediately which I was bummed about because I finally thought I had found a good strucuted hat (i look dumb in unstructured hats). Not sure if its a quality control thing or just a brand of snapback thing, but I wish they would fix that.

Is that the same shape as the Curb King board Magenta put out? Also, what's the brand on that one?

It's a different shape than that one. This is "Into the Wild," Daclin's limited board run brand he does alongside Film.

They have been mostly 50% off in a few colourways of those for a while, so some people I know have been buying up and will have shoes to last a long time.

Mostly they swap out the insoles for others like Footprint elites, but as a simple vulc shoe the DC Kalis vulc is pretty solid and lasts longer than Vans for these guys I know.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Been there and done that many times before. Some times when it doesn't feel right that's the best thing you can do.

The soles were pretty thin with decent durability. Lasted me 2 months with Shoe Goo until the sole gave out.

I usually skate the small stuff at the park. Small box/rails etc. but since the parks are still closed where I am. I bought these for a slappy set up.
