Funny you say that, I did actually slam on this pretty hard. Without the bump, it's really safe though. Check the Blunt Steel YouTube channel to see Bevup casually destroy this thing.

Can I come over and play??

Yessir! Love this thing for when I don't have the energy to have a full session, or after a session when you don't want to ollie anymore.

 Some more 54mm spitfire 93s

I sold my 58s

The homie that was borrowing my other 54s lent them to someone else and I'm mad I still don't have them

These were only $25 though and look like they were only ridden like once so hey whatever, more 93s

Had to talk myself out of it a bunch lately since it's not in the budget. Only recent purchase was getting a pair of shoes since another wore out and they were on sale.

May set up an 8.75 after the next life milestone as a reward. Whenever that may be.

Got a shop shirt and the heated wheel polarizer trucks from board of Missoula since they were closed when I was in town a couple months ago. Good vibes for sure. Go to the back and check out old mags/vhs

I’ve been resisting deck/wheel madness and have three perfectly good pair of trucks … so I’m going into bushing madness instead. Got some Indy hard (after a week or so I can say I don’t really like them) and some venture loose on the way. Also got a Sci-Fi shirt because I just fucking love Jerry.
that would be crazy if your skin was made of hammers.

one cotton carhartt and one wool pendleton flannel
will be skating the latter more often

have the carhartt one in hand already
me skating in any form white is a bad idea
i sweat buckets and fall/roll a lot on the ground
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I've got a broken rib and haven't been able to skate in 10 days. Probably out for at least another 3-4 weeks. I ordered myself as close to a Christmas Complete as I've maybe ever had for when I get back on the board. Life 10.125" deck. Slappy 10" trucks with Slappy hard bushings. Bones X-95 V6 56mm wheels. Jessup Ultra. I've got some lightly skated Eenox bearings and plenty of hardware kicking around. I think it's gonna be super fun to skate.

Ok ok so I caved in and got a pair of Indy 144 Standards ('cause they were hella cheap), my first Standards in that width, looking forward to setting them up on my 8.125 decks that I have on ice.

Got these from the 303 sale for a little over $50 each with grip. They actually sent me one of the wrong graphic, but I can't complain because the one that they sent me is actually newer and would've been slightly more expensive.

The 144 standard is an excellent truck. Great pickup! I have a set I occasionally set up and they're always a good time. Prefer them over hollows in that width.

I am curious about that board shape as I have never seen one in person, but the two questions I have are:

1. Is the shape, especially the nose, really any different to a normal board / popsicle shape?

2. Are the dimensions correct?  Marbie's shape: 8.5 x 32; 14" wheelbase

Might get one at some point, as they are on sale, but a few of the other There boards didn't seem to be the dimensions as listed, at least from their own site, vs other sites vs what people have said about them.

I do like a long nose and tail, especially the tail, if it is 6.75 or so.

https://www.skatedeluxe.com/en/p/there-marbie-reflect-8-5-skateboard-deck-multi_p160331

width: 8.5"
length: 32"
wheelbase: 14"
nose: 7.25"
tail: 6.75"
Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Good to hear. I have a pair of 144 hollows and they feel somehow slightly off, can't put my finger on it. I'm looking for that oomph I get with my 149 Standards. Maybe the standard geo and height just suits my skating better.

I've been in my head about something similar. I can't get on with the Indy Hollow Forged trucks I have. Thought it was them being 139, but other brands in that size I'm fine with. Also fine with Indy 144/9 standards. Also fine with Thunders that weigh what the 139s weigh. So no fucking clue if I'm crazy or it's just the Indy geo being at that HF height and weight that gets me.

And note I didn't even realize these were a different height and weight until after I skated them. I got them cheap because I wanted something for my 8-8.125 decks and was like "wtf" at how they felt and then started looking for differences to explain that.

The HF are 1.5mm lower but the only thing that is lower is the baseplate. If you run 1/16" (1.58mm) risers, they will essentially be the same truck as the regular hollow only a hair lighter. I have some HF and noticed a difference right away, added the risers and they felt exactly like the regular hollows. I actually am now using them without the risers and like them a lot but that 1.5mm difference makes a surprising difference.

I’m currently skating my fifth one of this shape and I can confirm that the shaped part of this deck is just in the nose. It’s a little longer than average and is a slight shovel shape. I think that the nose helps me with tricks like slappy crooks but it pretty much skates like a popsicle deck otherwise.

The dimensions are correct. I like this shape mainly because of the short wheelbase. It’s a fun shape!

Picked up one of the Real Ishod twin tail skate shop day decks and drilled the wheelbase in a quarter inch on each side from the 14.33 that it was. On top of being the easy rider mold it’s also the number IV on the press so it’s really mellow like an old Girl board. I’ve only skated it for a few minutes but it felt good.

i bought a set of bones x99 v5 58mm wheels with lizzie armanto graphics. i was also given a set of nora v pro bronson bearings. idk if those two are still beefing but if they are then i'm about to squash it for them.

also if anybody reading this skated both the x99s and old formula f4 97s - are the x99s comparable, better or worse when it comes to riding on shitty ground?

New pair of 808's. Don't know what to do once they're gone.
