Idk if qualifies as a skate purchase but just bought a snowskate.
Some friends skated last week in Stalin and it looked fun:

@moonordie there’s a “choose file” tab under attach when you go to post but i tried posting the Jah slam last night for folks who don’t have tik tok and it said the entity was too large
Even when i trimmed it to three seconds and then when i tried to just post a slide of photos that wouldn’t work either so i just gave up

Also side note i clicked on that link you posted and your personal profile popped up on the bottom

I think you just get rid of the “s” in “https” to post an IG post, but I’m not completely sure if it works for reels.

Over the weekend, I got a Loveseat+, a Thunder rebuild kit, and some bearing lubricant. It should arrive by Friday. I’ve been wanting to buy a Simon Bannerot board, but only did it after seeing the BBS warning label on the top view of the board. Yesterday, I ordered a G096 (8.5” twin) just because I’ve always been a fan of McCrank. Probably good on decks for at least a month or two.

Closer to a coat but fits like a jacket, don't lose much visibility. As far as skating goes. Pretty cheap too

Obviously I rewatched Menikmati with all that 25th anniversary stuff and pulled the trigger on the "Arto" Creagers I wanted since I was a kid.
Obviously after seeing Menikmati I was like "It's been a while since I saw TIS" which ended up with me getting the OGs.
Am I going to regret it? Probably.
Am I going to bitch that my feet hurt? Most likely.
Am I currently super stoked and ignoring all the above? You bet.

Solidddddd wheel selection there

I have some 52mm 95a classics on the whip right now

I gotta get a couple sets of 93a and 99a classics before I feel doomsday prepper safe for the year

I have an extra set of bearings, and now 3 pairs of shoes, so still on the hunt for a couple more pairs of shoes

Definitely need to get another stack of decks going in the 14" wb department. The Real red oval 8.12 has been very enticing

Swap a better insole into those OG-1s and they'll feel delightful!

I just copped some white leather Creagers for chilling 😎 Don't know if I'll skate them or not, as I've got a stack of Accels, OG-1s, and Dunks I'm flicking my way through

Probably the OG1 but want to skate the Creagers first on March when weather will be better. And yes @DarkPools , I'm totally replacing that napkin they call insole. I have some FP that works decently for me so that should so the trick.

It is pretty much smack bang in the middle of the shapes, so not pointy and not blunt, just a regular rounded end popsicle.

Overall the one I had skated well, as I hadn't realised it was the short version, way back before skate product info was key to everything, but the dimensions do work on them, almost a Tru Fit without being quite so short in the wheelbase.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Thanks both of you!
What about the Silva decks? He seems to have a lot of shorter wheelbase options but are the shapes all very varied or does he stick to a style?

Not sure about mason's boards, but if it says "true fit" on it, I think it would be one of these

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think if it's labeled "true fit" it's always gonna be one of these shapes

Pros can usually get whatever shape and graphic they want, so whatever pro boards are in the shop aren't necessarily the same size they actually ride. Sometimes though

Thanks! Yeah, I was asking about the decks we can buy, not really interested in what he actually rides. That red oval does seem like a really good “standard” deck to go with. I’m just trying to learn more about DLX and BBS decks because I really want to try one soon.

Baker are BBS as well

The OG mellow concave shape is pretty fun

Pointy kicks

I've skated sooo many of those. The 8.475 and 8.25 specifically. Both have a 14.25 wb. The nose seems to have more of a spoon-like shape than I see elsewhere as well.

I've skated a great many of the DLX "blue eagle" shape too. It's marked as 8.5 but tapers to 8.3 over the back trucks, pretty normal nose and tail cut, not quite like the baker OGs and not like an FA big square nose or something. I could see the tail being too short for some folks though. Those are 14.25 wheelbase as well.

I recently switched to 14" wb so that's what's got me checking out that red oval, the overall length being so short seems really appealing to me and the tail doesn't seem too short on paper

There's a lot of brands with a BBS 8.25 x 14.25 wb board

I think I'll set up the Hardbody 8.25 x 14 tomorrow.
