Baker 8"
Venture Low 5.2"
50mm

No more ghost pop ollies with the mellow kicks and OG concave
Never had Venture Low before. Any tips on how to get rid of the pivot cup noise?

Someone elsewhere here said a teeny tiny bit of dish soap on the pivot worked for them

Venture lows are top tier cheese and the OG mellow baker is a fantastic wine pairing

Ordered a Bobby Twin Tail Slick from 35th Ave. Haven't ridden anything smaller than an 8.5" in probably 20 years....

2 Real Hause 8.35 Twin Nose decks. #1 was picked up on a whim while visiting a local skate shop during business travel, had a great chat with the guy behind the counter and couldn't leave without getting something to support the shop. #2 was for a Spring time complete.

I feel your pain. I got the Polar ‘91 jeans and they’re too small even though I went with my ‘92 size.

Hopefully, 144/148 feels better on 8.25” and 8.38” decks because 149/55 felt weird, except on the 8.38”x14.5” DLX. If this doesn’t make a difference, my next move is to buy Radials or Tablets and swap out the Radial Fulls.

The Thunders only look green when the light is turned up but not directly shining on them. It doesn’t really matter but it made me question whether I was partially colorblind for a couple minutes.

How you liking the twin nose? Been skating TT for the last year and picked up the same Hause deck today.

I'm on holidays, went to a bookshop and found 1000 skateboards in Spanish (amazing for a change).
Does that count?
If not, days ago I got a local brand at the shop here. Feels horrible but I'm happy I supported the local scene.
Maybe I'll go later for a Censorship hat or some wax.

Since asics are available in europe now i pulled the trigger on some black/ white japan pros- usually not into all black shoes but on these it works so good. Nervous since i don‘t know how/ if they fit, but really hyped and hope they do.

Also these white/ black adidas superstar adv with the offwhite sole and toe cap, snakeskin detailing and regular tongue. Also hoping these fit.

I wasn’t going to buy wheels yet and won’t be using them for a while but had the itch to buy and didn’t want these to not be available when I do need them so.

$22 at my local converse outlet today, couldn't pass it up. I put some Remind insoles in them and these are a great middle ground from blazers which really restricted ankle movement when I laced those up.

If so, I just learned about using concrete sealer instead of lacquer in the hacks thread and bought this.

Works better than I imagined and I’m about to go put a third coat on some curbs right now. Plan to do one more coat later today and should be ready to skate after that.

In my experience one coat of sealer is enough unless it’s really porous old concrete. The best formula is sealer, lacquer then wax.

That’s what formula I use too. Works great but yeah curbs around me are old as hell and soak up a ton of the sealer so I usually have to use more than one coat.

Ok, now you’re going beyond my level of effort wanted to put in. I just want to skate with least amount of money and effort put in, lol! That combo sounds amazing though and good to hear you don’t think I need more than one coat of sealant. I just got back from the spot and there were some people right next to the curb I already put 2 coats on so I skipped that and did another curved curb that I wasn’t planning on coating but didn’t want to leave without accomplishing something. That curved curb was already slick since I’ve been skating it but figured some help there wouldn’t hurt. If I can, I’ll probably still try to get another coat on the main curb I’m trying to do since I’m not doing any of the other suggested steps. All I did on the other spot (that I shared pics on and I’m going to skate again in a bit) is was 3 coats of sealant and one thin coat of wax and the painted block is gliding like ice. The bare curb is also plenty slick enough for me. Thanks for all the tips!

Did you get a good deal from the Adidas outlet or do you just really like Gazelles? Those look super clean, though. Black/white and white/gum are solid colorways.

I’m about to end the madness and decide on what trucks to stick with on 8.25” setups, before deciding on wheels.

It’s between Indy Hollow and T-II. Both of them unintentionally happen to have black baseplates and are signature trucks from skateboarders I like. I forgot that I got the “Leviathan” set in 148 a couple weeks ago because they were under a pile of clothes, but those are for an egg.
