Seems like they ditched the g069 shape. Would've loved to try that one after only riding g052 for a while.
[close]

I don’t think they ditched that shape. I see plenty of G069 shapes available from Girl and Chocolate on tactics, skatewarehouse, etc. I hope they don’t ditch that shape because that’s what I’ve been skating for the last 3+ years.

Atleast shape guide doesn't have it anymore. Might be older stock?

Hoping this isn't true. They're still putting that shape out with new graphics if you use the filters in the shop. Not sure what the turnaround time for new graphics on their end is though.

Set up a G052 (first Crail deck in probably 10 years) and I was surprised at how nice it feels. Just skating flat in my basement because it’s winter here in Rhode Island, but pleasantly surprised at how crisp it is and how quickly all my flip tricks are coming back. Probably because it’s definitely a little under 8.25”. Pretty flat compared to what I’ve been riding, and the tail is kinda long but I dig it. Can’t wait to actually skate it at a spot or in a park.

They're stiff and crisp when you set it up and they stay consistent for a while. I've strayed away by my own curiosity to a pstix wknd board, santa cruz, and an april deck. pstix feels spongy all around. But bbs is probably a replacement to the crail wood. But they still feel flexy. I feel crail is the only distributor to really dial in their shapes. Or to actually publicly have access to the different shapes they have. Who else is doing that? I know powell, bbs, and dsm have a numbering system. But there isn't a dedicated page/sight for that info(not that I know of).
We rode 7.5's" and didn't complain.

Sanrio has a collab with Girl, and one of the decks has some tasty looking dimensions.
I went to Girl’s shape guide, but couldn’t find that exact shape.

I was able to find the GO80 which is 8” width but the Sanrio is 8.5”.

Is this a misprint?
Does anyone know if that specific shape actually exists?

The G096 was the 8.5 twin and I’m pretty sure G069 was the 8.25. Nose, tail, and wheelbase were the same across the 3

I don’t think it did because I constantly see new stuff from them with the twin shape. Pretty sure the shape guide is just missing a few now.

Apparently that’s the case.
There are several in the Crail shop.

My local shop has one too!

Anyone ridden the 8.4 or 8.5 with the 14.25? Those look like copies of the DLX shapes with the same widths/wheelbases, but I like the flat Crail concave.

Damn, I'm so sorry.  I didn't even think to check the other sizes.  I'm betting 8.25 has been the highest seller.  If 8 or 8.5 picks up I'm sure they'll add it too

Still pretty hurt by this but managing to reply somehow (jk jk :o) It's odd that there's no 8.25 non-twin option. Makes me wonder if it's the opposite and the G69s aren't selling...

I'm with you though on the twins and the 2 deck deal. Would love to see them as a standard option. They might as well add all the shape codes at that point though? That would probably defeat most of the purpose of the deal for them though... not completely because the graphics would still be a mystery. I'm rambling

For anyone looking for another perspective, Degros doesn't say this deck is a G027 but it's gotta be.

this is a ‘i think’, so take it with a helping of salt: i think that’s their version of the blue eagle ah board. good shape.
crail boards last for me. the griffin shape is fantastic (tail will be short for you tho).
but. if this G039 is the same as the ah, i’d probably get the ah, as i like that wood better. usually. well as long as its the flattest ah you can get. i don’t love the bbs concave.

hopefully someone else chimes in

Liked the 8.25" twin shape. Haven't skated the 8" one. I'll put that one in the queue next. I've been on the G052 for a while.

Just set up a g039 I had on ice for a while.  Never tried this shape before, but coming off of the workshop 8.5, I just kept feeling like that nose and tail were too long (I used to enjoy that shape).  Seems to look like it may be a good setup, though the shorter tail may take some getting used to on Ventures.

Hey guys,

Has anyone skated the 8.25 twin and know how it compares shape wise to the 8.25 GO52?

Love the GO52 but also like the idea of a twin shape because, well ishod lol.

Anyone tried the new 8.8” Brophy shape (G068)? Big fan of the G033 (8.5”) but have been skating wider boards lately.

8.8” x 32.625”
WB: 14.75”
Nose: 6.925”
Tail: 6.75”

Sorry for bump.  Same question as above but also curious as to the G056
Width:    8.6″
Length:    32.625″
Wheelbase:    14.75″
Nose:    6.925″
Tail:    6.75

Both Brophy models but as a taller rider I'm somewhat intrigued by the longer wheelbase on the not quite really wide decks.

I have since tried the G068 and really liked it. Very shallow kicks and general mellow concave overall if you’re into that. I skated it on Thunders. Been trying to get another but can’t really find them in Canada.

Anyone know what’s up with the Couch/Loveseat shapes? Seems as though Simon has switched shapes per their last video and I’ve not seen any available in the last few drops. It’s all I’ve skated since 2020 and I’ll be crushed if they’ve stopped producing them!

they actually have very little listed on their site imo. several shapes not in stock, and few boards for some of the pros. kinda weird.

I wonder if this is because they are in the process of changing woodshops, or have switched completely now to BBS and are waiting on stock.

People had been posting boards from SW and other places that are now "Made in Mexico" which appear to have the BBS stickers on them, among other things, which could be a direct result of tariffs and issues, but I don't know much more than that.

I was under the impression crail had moved all board production to China. Are they going to BBS now?
