So guys, some advice from you ACL pro´s. As written above I hurt my knew 5,6 weeks ago. Been doing physical therapy since, and its much better, knee stable and no giving out etc, and almost full movement back. Meniscuses hurt still some, my ACL doesn't.
So. I just came from a visit to my second orthopaedic doctor, different hospital. First doctor took me in, did a Lachman test and was like yeah, your ACL is off. I book surgery in sept/okt. Was very sceptical, saying it will never heal etc. Didn't do a MRI, but I got him to book an appointment anyhow, but the wait time for that where they do it was longer then the surgery wait.. Wasn't to comfortable with that.
I just got back from visiting another hospital and doctor. Doctor did the same test, said he clearly could tell my ACL was either torn or partially torn (no stop on the lach man test). He was way more positive though, and said he would never operate without MRI, and booked me one in a month. He said since my knee was stable, no pain basically, that the knee hasn't given out while walking etc, that I might be fine with physical. He told me to call him once the MRI was done to discuss further.
So basically torn between a super negative doctor and a more positive one. But if the ACL is torn, isnt a surgery really a must to keep skating?
