You guys are fuckin blowing it how could anyone think Reynolds style looks worse he's like fine wine

The man has jumped stair sets long enough and stylishly enough to be allowed to slow down. Plus, now he's doing tech shit that is cool.

Cody Mac tops the list for me, but I suppose it's his appearance more than his actual skating.

Torey Pudwill. His style in SkateMore was really cool. Then it just got weird or something.

Maybe it's just before he started doing all those horrendous lipslide tricks.

jerry hsu got really stiff in the last emerica video
really? check that fucking ender tho!
in his defense dude's knees have been fucked for a while now no?

rant - I don't think this even needs to be a topic, how many of you still have the exact same style you had when you were in your prime?
skaters get super critical that their fav pros don't skate exactly how they used (Penny haters are notorious for this) but who cares? If Guy is still out there ripping in 2017 and having fun I really don't care if he doesn't look like Mouse era Mariano; dudes first part came out in 1991 FFS! As with Hsu up there too, I don't think we are really taking into account the effects of age and injuries that these guys/ gals go through.

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Guy style got worse, but he also started having an atrocious trick selection. His skating lost its smooth flow, partially due to doing a bunch of really ugly ledge combos. A bunch of old guys still look really good on their board when they grace us with footage like Gino, Carroll, Howard, Koston, MJ, Daewon and Ave. I don't think Jerry's style has gotten worse at all though.

Trapasso.

Each part after suffer the joy he seemed more stiff and almost trying harder and harder to emulate what he had going on in the suffer the joy days.

Reynolds is on his way to being the next Gonz, where any footage of him is gold.

I don't think anyone will deny that BUT you gotta give him credit for being able to pull off a plethora of NBDs at his age. The only other person that has done this (AND kept his OG style) is Daewon ... but Daewon is a fucking Jedi when it comes to skating.

MJ is only a year younger but hasn't been around as long as Guy and Daewon but his Pretty Sweet part had NBD's in it and all of it was down quite clean and with good style.  But, in general, the point holds. Guy became way more about having crazy flip in or flip out stuff like the smith grind lazer out, which needed to be counteracted with some smooth and casual lines.

Agreed. I certainly appreciate his skill, no doubt about it. But the trick selection got really odd and well he just doesn't look that comfy anymore.

All good though, guy is a legend no doubt!

his knees being messed up would make a lot of sense

the line he does @1:12 contrasts so heavily with the rest of his footage (especially the line @2:42)

Who can we mention here?

Tom Penny, Andrew Reynolds and Jereme Rogers. There, I said it.

Now you argue, or find some new names

More like they took a hiatus and kind of lost a few things, not so much style got worse. A good example would be Bastien.

And most of the guys mentioned are old, Andrew Reynolds for example. Hard to knock his style when he's still doing what he's doing at his age.

I totally understand what people are saying about Guy, his trick selection and how it looks.  Kinda reminds of Danny Way - young D. Way footage was amazing.  But when you get into the mindset where people are putting you on this pedestal of being the best of the best, you tend to think you need to keep your tricks or whatever, NBDs or shit like that (same with Guy) and start building ramps and jumping Great Walls and shit that no one else will ever be able to do.  And obviously, it comes across as somewhat forced, and therefore not as stylish.  But then there's dudes like MJ or Reynolds, that don't have to do the most mind boggling trick or combo, but still look damn good doing what they do.

I was pretty detached from skateboarding for, say, oh, the last 10 years, but when was the Wigger stage? Pre-Photosynthesis? I mean that goes back to 2000...
