Whats the word on the NM213 in terms of size? White with a touch of mint looks too good to pass on, wanted to get a pair for me and the misses who just started skateboarding but shopping for women's skate shoes is tough, anything smaller than men's size 7 is tough to find.

I usually wear a .5 size up in NB, but the 212 and 213 are true to size for me (only shoes in the line up like that).

Same. I'm an 11.5 but have wide feet so often have to size up half a size, but the 212 and 213 fit great at 11.5

Finally caved and bought some 1010’s. I must say they are much more comfortable than dunks. Only took a lap around the shop so far but I’m feeling good about them.

The geriatric walking-shoe off-white/ecru/butter 440s with the blue look so nice. Gotta get a pair.

Also been really wanting to try a pair of 1010s but am worried that they'll be too bulky and can't decide if I'd size down or not. 440s fit perfect in my normal size

1010's are not as bulky as they look. They're an incredible shoe I'm on my 5th pair in a row. I went a half size down than I wear in vans/nike.

just copped my first pair off the sale gear thread.

went tts to my size in the 440, seems to be the correct choice but could have possible gone half size down, but I think once i swap the insoles ill be good to go. They are not really all that bulky. less bulky than tyshawns for reference.

Not really bulky, and a lot less than they look in the product shots. The toe is very low and not puffy.

I tried a half size down since they didn’t have the right size at that shop but it was way too crammed for me, my toes would pretty much hit the front. This is of course individual to everyone and how shoes generally fit them, I have definitely worn a similar half down size in Dunks and Vans before but in hindsight they have been what I now would consider too small and in my opinion the 1010s are true to size. No heel slip issues or anything like that, they are specifically designed against that and feel great.

All that being said, I’m not rushing to get another pair. The shape of the toe didn’t feel like it was working that well for me and after the excitement of seeing the first pictures of them and thinking that this looks like the coolest shoe in a decade, they now look more boring (original black suede). Maybe they’ve just been too durable and I got bored before they break, but there are plenty of shoes in the sea and I will look at some options and see if they can stand up to these. Bruin Reacts are up next.

I wanna try a pair of 1010's. GOnna try to get the wife to bring me back a pair for the US.

Are the Bruin reacts a cup sole? Team classic is no more it seems.

Yeah it's a cup but doesn't really feel like one. They are pretty flexible.

Bruin React felt a lot like a Vans Old Skool with Pop Cush to me. Way too flexible and squishy.

Think they updated the Team Classics, now they’re called Heritage Vulc - looks the essentially the same.

Thanks for the Bruin clarifications.

A dab of shoe good will save the day. Sucks, but shoe goo will fix it all up.

You’re rolling your foot way too much on the slide up your deck and then flick on your kickflips.

This is a pair I skated hard for about 3 months. Notice the two main wear areas on the side and the corner of the toe. That’s where you want the friction to come from on the pop and flick motion. You’re likely turning your whole foot inward too much and snagging the top of your foot on the flick.

I skated another black suede pair just as long and have never ripped the mesh on top of the toe, just very light surface fraying on the edges towards the outside of the toe

probably not the answer you want to hear b/c it's $$$, but maybe the ones with leather/suede instead of mesh might last longer for you with how your technique is?

I remember when I finally caved in and filmed myself trying to do a kickflip to see what I'm doing wrong. When I went to flick it looked like my shoe stayed in place on the griptape and my leg moved, so that my foot was turned 90 degrees inward and the whole side of the shoe was hitting the griptape. The freeze frame looked just like in Skater XL when the physics break and the foot goes through the board, made me laugh and I thought about posting the picture but it was more embarassing than funny.

Luckily I didn't destroy the mesh on the toe but the whole collar was ripped to shit on the outside. I then started strengthening my ankle and think about pointing my toes more when flicking.

This 100%. I've been hearing this from everyone I skate with. Two things:

1. This only happens on regular kickflips. No other kickflip trick rips this part of the shoe. It's only on regular kickflips.
2. Also it's really pronounced in this shoe. I haven't had this kind of wear on other shoes looking at some of my beat old shoes. I'm not sure why.

Another poster suggested the ones without mesh. I'll def be trying those next. Other than this hole, these shoes are great.
