Just wondering what the 480 highs fit like and if they're comparable to 440 V1s? I'm not able to try on the 480s, as buying online, but have a couple of pairs of high and low 440 V1s which fit perfectly in US 11.5 and was hoping the 480s are comparable fit.

I skated a bunch of 440's. I buy them in size 9. I bought a pair of 480's in size 9 and it felt too big but I skated them. Next pair was a half size down (8.5). They fit perfectly! I tried some v2's and v1's in size 9 and they were too snug around the forefoot. So I buy the 480's in 8.5 and 440's in 9.
We rode 7.5's" and didn't complain.

Saw the new Franky lows at the local.   Look good and love the fatter laces.  But at the same time I wish NB would chill out and slow down hah.   Want to try that white gum 480, brick Knox’s, and now these!

Those vegan 440v2 look awesome.

Believe it or not, they look even better in person.

Yeah.  I don’t know what that N color is called, but it’s unique/funky and works well

Even on the official NB website they suggest to go half a size down on the regular line 480s. I think I will try them too at one point.

I got some 574 Vulc incoming next in two different sizes. We will see how they fit. But the shape looks kinda like my feet. Wide toe box and narrow heel.

Yea definitely try them on. I got that first run of the 480 highs and they fit me perfectly in my normal size I wear 10.5 in 440 and the 480 high and lows
I know this isn’t the right thread but anyone got any leads on some discounted 440 v2 Lows or highs. Just skated my first pair of the v2 highs and my feet couldn’t be happier

NB# site lists it as "Black with dark camo' most sites have it as Black/Olive. The tounge tag is the same color but the material makes it look a bit more gray (there was a comment waaaaay back with something saying this CW looks bad, becasue the N didn't match anything); Laces match the heelcounter upper and orange accents all around. Favortie NB colorway (and shoe - it's W-I-D-E) by far.

Idk if this happened to any of you guys. On the photo you can't tell that much but left shoe is wider than right one, specially on the toe area. Both are size US: 8. Ofc there are no ankle brace or anything like that.
It doesn't bother since both feel the same, I'm just curious if this happened to anybody else.

That's how most shoes look on me. But my left foot is indeed slightly bigger and wider as my right one.

Yes, it seems there is often an inconsistency in the toe shape with NB shoes . I’m not sure if it’s the sole, or whatever.

Doesn’t really affect functionality though.

Yeah it’s why I sent back my Poets 1010.   Toe looked really blown out on mine

The most common sorta… defects or imperfections I see are excess glue where sole meets upper (understandable). Inconsistent sole shape in the toe, and upper separation from the sole in the toe area.

I don’t like to nitpick, because NB makes the best shoe hands down, but as an individual with OCD this has kinda cost me a lot of money…. As I end up rebuying lots of shoes till I get one that’s perfect.

I’m trying to be better, and need to realize as the nature of all things they’re impermanent.

Been rocking the natas 480 highs lately and I started to notice how my tongues always start folding into the sides of the shoes with use. To my disbelief I discovered they don’t have tongue centering straps haha. I legit thought that was pretty standard across any high dollar shoe and I assumed these had them but nope! It’s just an annoyance I have to deal with. The left foot feels tighter than the right but that might be because my left foot is bigger instead of QC issue…..The new Tiago brown 808’s look awesome

I was a 440 Hi person for the last 4 years and switched to the 480 high.  They do take a quick second to break in but they're pretty nice once you get used to the thicker sole.  For me at 52, I kind of like the stiffer and thicker sole.

You can Use an elastic hair tie as a FIY tongue strap. Wrap it around top the tongue and underneath the insole

tts? same size as dunks/1010s?

i skate nb’s, because of the quality, and the substantial nature of some of the shoes. i need the support. stiffer. thicker. sounds ideal.
‘broken in out of the box’ sounds gross and bad and painful.

I wear the same size in 480 hi and low, dunks, and 440 v2 if that helps.

thanks, i didnt read back. I tried on a pair of 11's in wide and the width felt great, just too short. im skating a pair of 808s in 11.5 and thats def better, but when comparing it think the 440s in wide may be perfect for me. i really hope they expand the shoes that come in wide to pro models.

The 440v2 in wides are amazing (and the black/olive/tan colorway is fire). I wear a 10.5 - these fit great all around...but, I need more knee/foot cushion when I'm pushing.

So, I tried a pair of 1010s (again :( ) this time in 10.5 and the width is fine in t he toe box, but mid foot, I really have to cinch them up (which is fine), however, there is more heel slip than I care for; I know they won't slip off but it's that feeling like they will. Plus, they feel G I G A N T I C on an 8.125", yet the 440v2s do not? Going to save them for winter with thicker socks (haven't bothered to try, too hot) to see if it helps the slip...I even bought vairious 'anti-heel slip' solutions off amzon, nothing worked. Bummed.

As I am a glutton for punishment, I ordered the creme suede 480s with the SW 20% of sale...here's hoping!

No love for the 600? I'm not on the internet much but don't see many pros using the 600. It seems almost all are 440, 480, some Tiagos tossed in.

Tiagos are proven to be the best shoes ever (1010 and 808) so that's it. 480 are also great and even better for dunk enthusiasts and 440v2 are a way better show than 600 for me (and also cheaper)

Do all colors of the 440v2 fit the same?

Any way the Vu just fit weirdly snug for anyone else?

600 looks and fits great with nice board feel, but I didn't find them to anything super special over other [technical] shoes in the line-up (or offered elsehwere).

Damn fine looking shoe tho.

1010, 808, 440, 480 seem to be the line-up...I never see people in Westgates, Foys or Villanis (I'm sure they keep selling or they woulnd't keep making'em).

1010, 808, 440, 480 seem to be the line-up...I never see people in Westgates, Foys or Villanis (I'm sure they keep selling or they woulnd't keep making'em).

You and I on that same shit. I could live the rest of my skate life with only those 4 models as an option. I’ve heard the franky’s have some unfortunate design flaws, and looking at the stitch locations in the Ollie area of the upper, I can imagine a lot of bagging out on the sides. I own a few pairs, but haven’t skated them yet. They also don’t exactly fit me tts.

600 felt similar to the 440 to me fwiw.

I want to try the 440’s but I found the Reynolds 480’s very uncomfortable.

440v2 are probably the most comfy NB# for me. My Reynolds 480 were also not comfortable at all.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Oh now that’s good to hear. I am tempted to order a pair…
