YO tate figured you'd be the right one to ask but what are differences on the 533 and the 533 v2? there small differences i noticed while comparing photos but whats the overall difference/improvement?

From what I’ve read, they’ve fixed the overall fit of the shoe to be more tts. The V.2 has the hidden lace loops to protect the laces, and the pocket thing to stuff the laces away. The insole is changed to foam for a little more comfort over the V.1. Heel collar is a little different and made of a different material so they’re not tearing up as fast.

The V2 533 compared to the OG 533 has some changes but nothing too crazy, but definitely improvements over the original pair.

To me there’s more padding on the heel area and overall better fit.

The hidden lace loops and new tongue to tuck in the laces.

Mesh parts of the shoe has been changed for better durability. Like on the heel. I would do heelflips and sw heelflips and the padding would come out and wear pretty fast.

The midsole and sole remains pretty much the same.

Insoles as well have changed but I don’t use the stock insoles in any of NB# or any skate shoe for that matter so I can’t really say that part has improved than the original.

Anyone know if the 331 is supposed to be a skate shoe?  The sole seems the same as the 212/3 and without the rubber toe cap it looks great.

The 331 is in our All Coasts line, it's more of a comfort and style design than skate.  You could skate in it, it just won't hold up like our Numeric line does because it's made mostly of canvas and the suede we use in Numeric is quite a bit thicker and more durable than anything we use on the All Coast stuff.  That AM/All Coast product is designed in our Numeric offices but more for a general audience as opposed to Numeric that all models are made to be skate functional.
Hope that makes sense!

Tom Knox is apparently skating a pair of nm440s in a recent Instagram video: https://www.instagram.com/p/BgCLUQNBdVf/?hl=en&taken-by=nbnumeric

I only found this, but they look like a strong contender for my next pair:

Let's hope there are some non-boring/ugly colourways...

I hope the green/gum version make it to market. They're amazing. That's a really nice looking shoe.

420's come out for Fall, which in the shoe world is like July 1.

The shoes Knox is skating here is his color of the 440.  That specific color comes out around July 1 also, but the 440 comes out in a few weeks on April 1.
That link you posted above is from our old intern, Connor.  He was here for about a year and I think that shoe on that page was his final project.  It looks sick, but it's not the Westgate...

i got the 533 v2 when i was in the states and i love them but the back of the shoe is really high which destroys the skin off the back of my heel (my achilles i guess, not good with anatomy terms). has anyone had this problem? is it a break in thing and do i just have to stick through it? it sucks because it's a great shoe

Had the same issue with the 533 V.1, for me it was a combo of wearing short socks, and break in. Once they broke in, I could wear them with short socks and the like and be fine. For that initial break in period, put some high socks and a bandaid under, you’ll be all set.

Has anyone skated the 346 in the black colorway? Whats the material on the upper? I'm thinking of trying some of those out, they look so clean.

This thread is killing it right now. Skated a pair of 533's last summer and they are hands down my favorite shoe I've ever skated. Thanks for all this info, rothdigga (Tate too). Can't wait for those 420's.
