Maybe this can be an interesting exercise, how long in your experience shoes last?
In my case:
- 808, 3 months skating heavily before they flap out. Bare in mind my feet are quite sensitive/fucked up
- 1010, 2 months also skating heavily and then they stop working for me.
- 440v2, 1 month. By the 3rd week they start to feel crappy but love how they feel/look/skate.
Currently I'm skating 480 and they seem to go the 808 way so far, super happy with them.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

480s last great with a lil superglue. skated mine for 1,5 months, tried the 600s but went back to the 480s (high) and they feel just broken in and sturdy as ever.
still hesitant to dedicate to the 808s. very much afraid that they are too stiff. will take the plunge eventually

keep em coming

Been on the 480s for a bit and still have a couple pairs to go through, but I saw some 440 v2s on sale on their site and decided to scoop them since I haven't given them a shot since the update.

I must say they feel quite nice and fit my skinny feet a bit better than the 480s. They do squish my toes a bit but that seems to be improving as I break them in.

I've been skating the 1010's for a couple of months and besides some initial heel slip and break in, I've really liked them. My current pair are close to retirement and I want to try something different. I've been looking at the 480's but haven't got to try any on yet. I'd like to know from anyone who's skated both how they compare. I've got high arches and narrow feet so the built in arch support and fit of the 1010 is great for me but I've heard the 480's fit similarly. Anything else I should know about before I impulse buy a pair?

Heel lock is better in the 1010s. 480s have a roomier toe box. Similar arch support, 1010 might have a bit more though.

shit,man!

Way different for me. got 480 highs and 1010s same size, Heelslip on the 1010 made me mad, 480 highs seem to just fit my foot better and with highs it is always easier to get the heel lock right

Just copped two pairs of unworn 600s from a PAL, please tell me I’m not stupid and I have made the correct choice for 100 dollars

The correct choice has been made. The 600 is an awesome shoe.

For me 1010 last the longest, then 600, and 440 I still get a good 2 months. Generally skate 3-4x a week for 2-3hrs or so.

Yes dude, I've been skating my pair of 600s for almost two weeks now and love them. I was skating the 480 highs before this and the shape of the 600s work much better for the shape of my feet and my flip tricks. The 600s really do remind me of a slimmed down 1010 in the best way possible. Already keeping my eye out for sales to get a second pair...

I really like the 600s. The only issue I’m having is that the midsole foam feels a little too soft to me. I love the 1010 midsole because it’s a little more structured and has less give. But I prefer the minimal padding on the 600 to the padding on the 1010.

At first my theory was that the exposed foam on the sidewalls of the 600 made it softer. Now I’m thinking it’s just because they use different foam densities.

If the 600 midsole was a little more similar to the 1010 midsole, I’d only be skating the 600. Think i’ll try a pair of 480s next to see what’s up with those.

Thanks, it definitely sounds like I need to try these on before I buy. I really like the performance of the 1010, honestly one of my favorite shoes of all time. Aesthetically, it's a great looking shoe but it's a little too "sporty" for me, I like the more simple looking models.

Yea, trying on yourself is def your best bet.

The more time I spend on here and read people's wildly different takes on the same shoe/trucks/board/wheels, the more it makes me feel like this shit is so completely subjective that's it's pointless to ask for online advice.

Yet here I am..... Lol

My inventory of 600 is kinda ridiculous:

5 pairs of the white leather with grey N
3 pairs of all black suede
1 pair black leather
1 Smurf

The white leather and black suede are a basic shoe that will never look bad or be tiring so might as well stock up while they're in the lineup. Been buying a pair of each every pay period but it's yearly bonus time and lines up with some nice sales.

Nice looking forward to getting these, I skated like four or five pairs of the 1010s and have been in reeboks since, but someone was selling two pairs of 10.5 600s in the classified section so I went ahead and copped, thanks for the info bros

I like these olive ones with the black sole but I am not sure how they will look in real life and I haven't seen those in videos yet.

The white ones with the grey N are really sick, I just copped these too. And the black gum from the first release.

im looking forward to a boring pair of black/white upper and a white sole... if that comes.  #NB does a really awesome job with interesting colorways that stay seasonal/current with the general vibe of colorways, but there's usually a little something extra that sets em apart.  so, if the boring ol blk/wht colorway never comes around... oh well.

Those white/gum with a kind of brownish mesh have slowly become my favorite colorway by dint of originally being a colorway I didn’t care too much for so I wore them a lot and they grew on me to the point I’m sad I wore them so much.

Love the 600. Just ordered a pair in that colorway from the NB EU site, on sale for 63 euros. Which is a bargain up here.

I’m waiting for the black colorway of this one to go on sale.   I’m not usually a black shoe guy but I’ve been making an exception for the 600
