Cats out of the bag on the three shoe collab!

NB# x Kawhi Leonard

1010, 480, and a Kawhi model.

I guess the 3rd shoe is what we were discussing in the "Post UPCOMING/RECENT shoe releases" thread:

I'm 99% sure it's the 808 upper with the Kawhi 4 tooling and a different heel counter (probably inspired by the Kawhi too):

(the colours are different with a gum outsole and white midsole instead but you can tell the triangle shape on the mid foot is the same)

...Also Tiago skated that shoe before so it makes sense:

I'm not sure if the pals know Rose Anvil on YouTube. They cut shoes in half to see what's inside and if it's worth to buy them. They started doing skate shoes recently. In this video they talk about the 306. Give them a like and a follow if you can. I wanna see all shoes cut in half, helps the madness. Link is below.

But will they fit more like an 808 or a 1010? Or the Kawhi? Size 12 in 1010 is perfect. Size 12 in 808 feels too small. Never had my foot in a Kawhi shoe, so jury is out on that one.

That said, the last thing I need is three new pairs of shoes, but I really like all three from what I’ve seen.

Seems like it will be the number 933. That's all.

Is this the most anticipated shoe in a long time?

I think it could be.  I also think it may have done better if it would have been able to get to market closer to him getting on, but still looking forward to seeing how it all plays out

Well as they explain, they started when he got on bc it happened so quickly.   They had time with Tiago to get things in motion while he was on DC bc they knew he was going to sign with them at the end of his contract

Well I see it this way. With all the crazy tech that is available at New Balance and Reynolds being the shoe scientist he is. NB# didn't offer anything yet that the Boss likes 100% so he wanted to create something new. Would explain why it took a bit of time. But I have no clue and just wait for this upcoming shoe that will surely help us all to skate until we are 80 years old.

I’m 40 years old. I like that. I don’t need board feel, I got these old legs.

I’ll skate a vulc once in awhile because I like to suffer occasionally, but cupsoles are keeping me rolling. I don’t know when they’re coming out, but ol grandpa legs over here is looking forward to buying the shit out of them.

Same. I’m a casual skater, but my shoes still matter cause I’m 38 and have osteoarthritis in both knees.

In the 440s I could only skate for 30-40 minutes. In 480s and Dunks I can skate for 1-2 hours without pain.

The 808s are odd though. The soles are so hard that they actually hurt me more than 440s.

I hope the Reynolds have full length fuel cell in them 🙏

Recently, I've moved on from board feel to "give me pillows under my feet, it's fine" Cupsoles with cushy insoles and arch support. So far the best feeling 'squishy' shoes I've found are the NIKE Leo (that react is the shit) and the PS8, everything else (my 440vs highs and low, Van's Zahba, Fastbreaks even with insoles) don't feel as nice; I'd rock 1010s if they'd fit...either too short or too long for me.

What really cooked me was the fact that the 440v2 low (synthetic) is LIGHTYEARS more comfy than the 440 v2 hi, doesn't even feel like the same family of shoe.

If they ever release a decent 600 colorway, I'm going to give them another shot now that I found a good cushy aftermarket insole.

Been skating exclusively 508s for the past year+.

Have a pair of 1010s (and 808s  :-[ ) that I thought I should skate thru... Been struggling in the 1010s for a month or so. Not skating as well as I normally do.

Great shoes for sure, but definitely more than what I'm used to.

Decided today to skate an old pair of 508s with holes in em, just to see.

Skated WAY better than I have the entire time I've been trying to get on with the 1010s. Lesson learned. Stick to what works, and the 'sunk cost' on those other shoes doesn't matter.

Luckily the homie is the same shoe size and I know he digs the 1010 and 808. Gonna bless him

Agreed. 440s hurt. 480s are my favorites right now. Love the look of 808s, but you’re spot on, the sole is way too hard and uncomfortable as a result. It’s also narrow and feels like crap on my feet. 1010s are a great shoe, and I enjoy wearing and skating them as well, but prefer the 480, probably because it feels like a skate shoe, but comfortable.

Full length fuel cell seems like it has to be done for the Reynolds right? I swear I saw an interview before where he said he doesn’t like board feel. Give me the all of the cushion!

Sick, good info on the nb alternatives, although nb# absolutely has my heart and wallet these days, haha.

What’s this aftermarket insole you speak of? I’ve don’t footprints before, but over the last few years I’ve just rocked the nb insole, as the aftermarkets never fit quite right.

This is a variation of the KAWHI IV basketball shoes, unfortunately not the new Tiago, but the design is clearly inspired by the Tiago models."
