While we're patiently waiting for April to get here, Village Psychic showed off their 1010 collab yesterday!

Interested to see what the story behind it is.

There was a recent release of the 440v2 that looked awesome but I only saw it once and can't find it again.  If I remember correct it was maybe white/blue/gum (but I could be totally wrong haha)  Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I found something interesting about the 808’s.

Typically I’m between a 9.5 and 10 in most models.

440V2, 600, 1010 (colourway and material dependant), 508 - size 9.5

808, 1010 (usually suede versions) - sz 10

I noticed when I took the insole out of the size 10 808’s the insole is sized for 8.5-9.5  The 10.5 has the 10-11 insole.

The sizing on the 808 is odd and messes with me however It’s by far my favourite skate shoe of recent years

808s have worked great for me but can take long time to break in properly and odd fit at first. Im kinda worried how the new version will feel...
Updated version will hopefully shorten or nullify the break in period for you. Other than that, you shouldn’t feel any difference. That’s the plan anyway.
Get litty.....

New version will need to go up +.5 as well?

@mini greek just realized Reynolds and foy being in the new THPS games mean shoes you’ve helped create are going to be immortalized in video games!   That’s gotta be pretty damn cool.

Do you get any input on the colorways used?   Did you have to let the developers see the 933 early on?  Would be kinda funny if that’s how we first saw the shoe

Maybe there already exists something like that, if so, please let me know. Is there a way to see like a yearly schedule with upcoming releases? I feel like NB drops new stuff fairly regularly but the OCD in me wants to know the exact dates (sometimes).

Idk why but your post got me thinking about how nice it would be to have like a subscription for 12 - 6 shoes yearly for a fixed price. Like you choose between some models and size and you get random cw.

Love Reynolds and magazines but $25 for a mag?  That’s kind of outrageous. Those tiagos are nice but I’m pretty sure my wife will stab me if I buy more NBs. I’m saving the stabbing for next month when I buy two pairs of the Reynolds at drop.

Brown and gum 1010s

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG59hB5gdOu/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

nice brown but god damn that a gum sole does not work especially with the white accents. shouldve gone with a white or black outsole

I won't be able to justify both as I'm still looking for work and have a family to take care of but I need a new pair of skate shoes soon and can't decide if I should try getting the Village Psychic 1010's or hold out for a pair of Reynolds ... @rothdigga @mini greek  , everyone else ...  you think I'd be well served waiting or should I pull the trigger on the 1010's  And are both TTS?  I've never had 1010's and obviously very few have tried the Reynolds on foot

I don’t think the Reynolds are out until 4/18 and the Village Psychic’s are probably out by the end of next week (based on how quickly these shoes seem to come out) if that’s a factor.

1010s (aside from Poets) have been TTS for me
