Finally broke out my 933s to replace my 1010s.

Initially I thought there was more cushioning in the 933 but now I’m not sure. 1010 might have a slight edge, at least my heel seems to think so. 1010 feels a bit more stiff in the midfoot, even broken in, so that might have something to do about it.

1010 might have an edge in grippyness too. The 933s are better than my worn out 1010 for sure but the 1010s had really excellent traction before the sole went bald. Maybe it’s not a fair comparison because the 1010s I had were gum sole vs the clear rubber on these Grey 933s but it’s a little disappointing.

For the rest of the fit and form differences, I prefer the 933. Less pronounced arch, more svelte toe shape, better heel lock. My only other complaints are that I’m sure I’m going to wear though the lace in like a week and the mesh must be purely cosmetic because my socks looked the sweatiest they have all summer.

My guess would be tariffs on new product coming into the country.

nah they would need to redo that whole shoe from the ground up. sole like a mf brick. i dont think its a better looking shoe than the 480 which is its closest sibling.

The time to do it has long passed it’s pretty out of vogue now .

Some new numerics
How do they fit? Coureur posted that they large, and that NB# recommends to go down 1/2 size.

Oh damn they also have the Rick Howard-ish white/blue  600s up.   I guess those and the white/gum KCK looking ones are going to be out soon as well

Definitely would recommend going down a half a size in the 770. They are described as "a more generous lifestyle fit" so it's kind of like the 550s how they fit big.

Very comfortable shoe. I'm hyped on it.

Yeah, for me they are tts. They could feel a bit snug in the beginning but they will stretch out. Half size up felt way too roomy.

Not to derail the thread from its current discussion, but on the topic of manufacture defects..

Just purchased this pair of 600’s online to find that the eyelets are all egregiously misaligned.

Black/gum looks fire.

That and the classic brown have been the best yet imo.

Stoked on the brown/teal. Size 11 sold out at Kinetic but I’ll find them when the get wider distribution.

Without seeing the right interior side holes more clearly, I'm not seeing how they're misaligned. How does it look when you actually lace them up?

It doesn’t look as bad, but it’s still askew. I can take a pic of both shoes to show why exactly it is misaligned. The shoe is assembled in a way that the panels are pulled further back on the heel than they are on a non defect model (I’m not explaining it well, but it’s evident in photo comparison).

@rothdigga based off that release poster, are these (Fridays) the last 933 color ways for the year?

Gotcha.   Iirc there was a Lottie collab referenced in some of those release week interviews.   I’ll just assume it’s that

I have that exact pair of 600’s, same colorway and yea I guess the laces don’t line up completely? Like they’re slightly off compared to my 440’s. But there’s no way I’m ever going to notice that. Really don’t see the issue.

I have 2 pairs of the shoes. 3 of them are normally orientated. I literally have 3 examples in hand of how the shoe is supposed to be. Slappers like telling people how shit is when they really aren’t in a position to do so.

It’s not aligned, period. Now I’ll take photos to show why.

Below example is how the material is aligned at on the outer side edge at the heel on a properly aligned shoe.

Below example is the misaligned shoe where the material is pulled too far back. Notice how there is less space at the heel stitch. This orientation causes the entire shoe to be misaligned on both sides which in turn effects the lace alignment.

Furthermore, I notice this stuff because my job literally requires me to function with a high level of visual scrutiny. This wasn’t subtle when lacing.
