Wow that all brown colorway with the crazy ice cream sundae looking exposed foam is nuts.

Oh damn first time I saw that I thought it was camo on the foam

tried on the foy cup today. as a 440/480 fan these are something i'd consider skating. toe box is a bit more roomy but fit true to size.

He’ll yeah. The 440’s are the only cups from NB that have worked for my feet. I love the look of the Foys and just skated a pair but need the support from a cupsole. Next pair of shoes will probably be those.

Hi @rothdigga, would you happen to know if any 440 highs will be coming to European shops? I've been keeping an eye out for the "Rich Oak with Black" and now the "Vintage Indigo with Black", but so far no luck on the New Balance European sites (or my local). The only high currently available is the trail version, which probably won't skate too well, I imagine :)

picked up the tan/blk ones at the shop today. The black/grn color way is sick too. They fit great and I agree on the toe box. Felt super good right out of the box. Nice and snug but not tight. Can also feel some type of heel stabilizer that goes all the way around the heel and comes up to about mid-point on the back. The insole is different than I've seen too, not the Ortholite or the one in the 933s.

Pretty excited to skate these.

I thought I had it in the grey days, but i think it’s bc I wasn’t used to that stiffness of sole.   Once it broke in, I didn’t have that problem and I dont really notice it on any other pair I’ve had

Right now it looks like they only ordered a small amount of the Q2 26 (April 1 launch) white 440 hi's but that's it.  Those are for the UK and for mainland Europe as well.

For those that are looking for a synthetic option, the UN440VBB just arrived into inventory and should start hitting shops soon.  That's our main synth/vegan option for 2026.

Ah dang, I’ll keep an eye out for the white highs then. And pull the trigger on the Barney lows meanwhile, sick color way too! Cheers Roth, much appreciated.

I am a true 9.5 and have both shoes and can confirm they are TTS. I would say my only gripe about the 1010s is the padded area that locks your heel down. Granted I get used to them after I skate them but I would almost prefer to not have it there. It's just too thick in that area and gets uncomfortable at first wear. I don't really think I've ever wore a shoe like it.

Both TTS. But I will echo the tighter heel fit on the 1010. I went half size up from my usual 9 in the 1010 to a 9.5 and it's a touch too long but trying on the 9 felt a touch too tight.

Skating-wise, the half size up in 1010 I could manage, and they're super comfy, but couldn't crack the formula to get good consistent sessions. Granted it was my first pair and I was coming off years of skating the 440 high. I haven't ruled it out because I know the 1010 is a great shoe I'll just try again at some point and may even go back to 9 from 9.5.

The 480 -- I've only skated one pair of the highs -- is more of a standard fit with wider toe box, especially compared to the 440, and a looser fit than the 1010.

Reynolds gets a pair of the realtree 1010 also? This reminds me of the level of hurt felt seeing eS samples being skated on tour in like 97

anyone have any tips/success with the heel slip in the 933s?

I sized up from my launch pair with the grey days just to see if that fixed it and I just tightened the laces. I had the heel slip issue in pretty much every nb shoe I have 933/1010/440 and honestly you just kinda get used to it as they break in. I’d spend a few days just wearing them around before you skate them.

I feel like the 933’s have a lot longer of a break in time  than most shoes. I think the sole is pretty stiff so it feels a little weird sometimes (heel slip, pressure points on my foot) until it fully breaks in. After that they are pretty much a perfect cupsole.

Picked up a pair of the Foy cupsoles yesterday. The sizing seems to be more dialed in and TTS as compared to the vulcs. In the vulcs, a size 11 was always too small and a size 11.5 felt a little too big. Grabbed the cups in a size 11 and they’re just right. They feel like a 440 cushion wise but with a wider toe box. Chilled in them yesterday and they were a little stiff but comfy enough straight out of the box. Haven’t skated in them yet so I can’t comment on that.

been skating the reynolds for a week ish. quite possibly the worst shoe i have skated in. zero board feel, pressure points along the toebox. sturdy though and good for heavy landings i guess

Board feel gets better for me after they're broken in and the impact protection is still excellent.

this is fair but i was not expecting board feel to be THAT gone - i was expecting a compromise between older era construction and the lighter numerics. when i tried them on i was like 'ok kinda nerfy but will probably go away after a few weeks of skating.' but alas, even broken in skating these things is like having some kind of nerve damage lmao. i cannot imagine trying to learn anything new in them.

though i do have marginally more feel off the pinky side now that they're broken in, thats also where the construction causes legit pain when im flicking or pushing a lot. like 'get these fucking things off my feet' after 2/3 hours (and yes they are the right size lol)

I've only properly skated one pair, got couple more on ice, but what broke them for me properly was going on a 14 mile hike stepping over rocks n shit lol.

But yeah just goes to show how brick they are out the gate and even after wearing them around for a bit.

I honestly think you have to have pretty mannequin type feet to like the 933
It’s a straight up skinny guy with skinny ankles and narrow feet kinda shoe
And that’s just on it being comfortable/not being painful

I personally think board feel is overrated but maybe I just have sensitive feet or something I remember vulcs hurting almost every session even if I’m landing most things
With thick bulky shoes I just spent a session maybe two getting used to them & it’s usually fine from there but I can always feel everything more than plenty

That all being said the 933 is a whole nother beast i felt like my sole broke in after a few sessions over 2-3 weeks but that’s a pretty wild amount of time & it was weird
I’ve been landing primo alot so it’s been great but I can definitely understand the no board feel aspect there

Mannequin feet is a funny yet apt description, anyone I know with wider feet really dont like them, even in wide sizes. But as a mannequin, I love them, they do take forever to break in, but thats how Reynolds wanted them. I've got every pair and only the pairs I've skated for a few weeks feel broken in, they've been lasting me a long time once broken in though so I'm okay with it.

Empanada feet is pretty hilarious i know what you’re saying haha. It’s messed up there aren’t more lasts to cover more different foot shapes, I feel like if I wasn’t lucky to have narrow feet I’d just buy non skateboarding sneakers and skate them

As far as 933s the sole seems to last forever and I feel like if the sole is too stiff to skste you can definitely rock them as chillers for as long as you want to break them in too. they’re so comfortable out the box

Those of you who have already seen or worn the new 306 Cup. Is it as wide at the toes as the regular 306? Those feel a bit too wide for me but otherwise a great shoe. And same size as the regular 306? I want to get the all black ones but I am not sure about the size.

I've ordered some from SPoT and I've risked it in normal 306 sizing so whenever they get here I'll let you know.

Its wide in the toebox. It seems true to size
