I like the green in combo with the off white a little better than on the 1010.   I kinda want to see the Tiago with maybe a green heel panel too.  As it is, it feels color blocked like a 306, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I just think of that shoe having the tri-tone look more

Guess my eyes were trippin. I originally saw it on my phone. Looking at it on my desktop now and it is indeed more grey than green/olive.

New Balance colorways lately remind me of those recycled Lakai shoes, with a bunch of scrap pieces of suede of different colors used to reduce waste. The panel lines are already there, I wish they didn't always have to make adjacent panels different colors. They end up looking like kid shoes to me.

This rings true with the Andrew Reynolds Mike Gigliotti color way. Sick color way, but looks like it was made with scraps.

I'm not a new balance guy, but I come in peace - Those numeric grey day colorways are all over the place. The colors themselves are tasteful, but the placement is messy.

I feel there are a lot of new balance colorways that would get demolished on SLAP if they were placed on any shoe that wasn't a new balance.

Skated dozens of pairs of og 440's and the v2's. Just finished skating a pair of 306c's a few months ago. Very similar shoe. Besides the price tag. A little stiffer than a 440. Sablones shoe the as1 is a good alternative. Even the 480! Get passed the break in and it flicks like a vulc.

Skated dozens of pairs of og 440's and the v2's. Just finished skating a pair of 306c's a few months ago. Very similar shoe. Besides the price tag. A little stiffer than a 440. Sablones shoe the as1 is a good alternative. Even the 480! Get passed the break in and it flicks like a vulc.

anyone ever skated a wide #NB? My problem with a lot of shoes is that they'll run narrow, but when if I size up, they'll be too long in the toe.

And that's exactly what you'll get with NB wide as well. They take 1 or 1/2 size up and just reliable it as a wide. Nb employees have confirmed it on here and if you have a shop nearby you can look for yourself. 10W and 11 will be the same for example. If you actually need wide shoes new balances will not work

It's not actually wider. The sole is exactly the same, they just add some extra room up top. I have a old pair of 574 Numeric Wides and they're the narrowest shoes I own.

Yikes. I thought it was a darker shade or variation of grey. Can’t get into that tan or brown now that I’ve seen it up close

I guess it’s like that blue dress meme - everyone will see different colors, but the colorway seems consistent with NB Grey Day shoes.   I think it’ll look a million times better irl - studio lights are just draining them

In the links posted above, the #933 on Reynolds and the #770 on Patrick Praman look so much better than the product shots. The brightness probably makes the contrast more noticeable than it would in real life, like you said.

This is the proper shade you think of when you hear “NB grey day cw” I took this SS from one of the promo vids when the 933s first dropped last year. This is the one I want. They did it perfectly with both of Tiago's (2 1010s and a 808).

Unrelated, but should I half size up on the 933s?

Never owned a pair, but every 933 I've tried on I needed a half size up. Maybe they break in and become looser but I'll leave that to those who've skated pairs to say.

I'm a 9 in every other NB shoe and most other brands, except the 1010 which is the only shoe to never fit me correctly. I need a 9 1/4 in them; 9s too narrow and tight, 9.5 too roomy and I have tried different lacing patterns. Other exception is the Tyshawn 1s, also need 9.5.

You shouldn't. I had 4 933 in a row and all TTS. The only not TTS numeric shoe for me was the OG 808.
