I saw him chilling at the Dunbat park back around 2012 or 2013, sitting on the bench by himself watching everyone skate. I had no idea what he was doing there, really random but a good random. I still went up to him and said hi, and that he was an inspiration to me growing up, and he gave a small smile and said thanks.

any idea what he was up to in toronto? i saw malcolm watson in north vancouver once, that was tight. he was living up here for a little bit with his girlfriend's relatives or something, getting to watch an og like that skate was awesome.

I was there that day he was just here to visit the city with Iowa homies. too bad you did"nt see him skate the half pipe still to this day I have never seen anyone skate mini the same maybe zach ferg

What the hell, I had never seen that Scenic Drive part before. Sick.

I remember being stoked when I found out he wrote poetry because he was the first pro skater I heard of that wrote like that. I was hyped on his Opinion part and remember being so into wearing his Globe shoes. And Fongstarr is right, an Opinion retrospect would be random but good.

Obviously not as classic as his old parts but I was stoked to see he is still skating and his style is still there.

Gershons the dude! The first in interview of a skater I ever read was his from some weird Powell zine from the mid 90's. Mike V had a no comply trick tip in it too. It's also pretty rad that he punched Andrew Reynolds some time ago
